Looking at the nurition information.... (per 100g)
ENERGY 1560kJ (373 Cal)
PROTEIN less than 1g
FAT 0g
-saturated 0g
CARBOHYDRATE
-total 92.8g
-fibre 0g
-sugars 2.7g
INGREDIENTS:
Maltodextrin, sweetner (sucralose).
.... and it says there's 92.8g carbs per 100g. Which means it's 92.8% carbs. Almost pure carbs. Isn't sucrose also almost pure carbs?
I don't quite understand how something that is 92.8% carbs is praised so highly by dieters and things. Am I missing something?
How would using Splenda affect ketosis?
And since it's got maltodextrin in it, would adding Splenda to post-workout things be a good idea? Although you'd probably need a whole lot of it to get an insulin spike, I imagine.
If someone could explain this, I'd be grateful because my brain stupid.
