Good job DT. I don't know why people doubted you, but you've proved them all wrong. I really think they should post up on this thread with an apology. You deserve it for the hard work you;ve oput in and the sacrifices you've made.

Are you still fat, btw?

What are you doing?

congrats.

What is chamois butter?
Chamois butter is basically just lotion you put on your taint. The pad in bike shorts is called a chamois. Basically when your legs go up and down 80-90 times a minute for 6-8 hours a day the taint gets rubbed raw. Thats called a saddle sore. I got one on Day 2. It is excruciatingly painful and once it starts the only way to cure it is to stop riding for a few days. The chamois butter is like taking a big scoop lotion and stuffing it down there. It helps lessen the friction some but there is no killing the pain. Right now I am walking like a 90 year old man.

There were people getting their knees and ankles wrapped and ice every day; shoulders in slings from falls; back stiffness. Other than the saddle sore I felt 100% all week. Physically I could have kept riding to San Diego if I wanted.

I will definitely do it again within the next two years. I didn't have a single flat the entire week. One guy flatted four times just on the last day.

Try Gold Bond on the taint after riding. Ususally works for mild cases. I bet you don't have a mild case. Congrats on a great ride.

Awesome job DT. Nice to see all your hard work paying off and especially for such a good cause.

Cheers,
Scotsman
