Italian reds are nice.

when I used to drink I liked Masi Campofiorin
The grapes are a mix of semi dried and fresh, which really concentrates the flavours.
Masi Agricola S.p.A.

Or a Barolo would be nice too, it ages well. Fontanafredda makes a really nice one.
Vigne, Uomini, Vini.

I was reading on "Barolo"..some very good reviews. The price isn't bad either, under 100bucks. That's enough, right?

definitely. classy without being presumptuous.

I'm really not. I have no idea what he drinks.

I thought you can't go wrong with wine. Even if he doesn't drink it he could use it for guests.

I don't know...got any ideas?
I would go with like an assorted gift basket, that way if he doesnt like one thing he can have another, like those cheese, sausage, cracker, etc baskets

I like those baskets myself but, he's gotten baskets in the past and he never takes them home. He likes to spread the wealth around the office lol

do you know anything at all about him, what he likes, if he has any hobbies, any kids, any pets, any decor at all in his office that tells you something about him?

Zenato Valpolicella Ripassa (sp?) is an excellent red for close to $40. It tastes like a much more expensive bottle and is very ready to drink. Italian reds tend to be very earthy and acidic, borderline metallic and a lot of tobacco taste. They usually need food to taste good. This one is very mellow but big at the same time, I'd initially describe it as jammy. If he doesn't like it, he doesn't like wine.

Also, nobody pointed out the fact that retard SB actually used proper punctuation and Mel didn't?

wtf

$ 100 bottle of wine is like a box of chocolate - everyone has different likes. $100 bottle of scotch - all men like that even if they don't drink it.
