I'm an aspiring writer, so I contemplate this quite a bit.
Mine would be an eye opening self help spiritual book written with complete understanding. When one was done reading the book, they'd re-evaluate their lives, and make a transformation into a new being that saw beauty in everyone and everything.
From the time they opened the book, their lives would never be the same.
A book that transforms the world of their ignorance and close minded views.

My publisher has been hitting me for years to tell the whole story as a comedy novel; unfortunately, the story never seems to be quite over.

I have the idea in my mind and the skills necessary, but not the desire to write it. It would be a unique approach to the concept of Utopia being unattainable not because of the nature of Utopia itself, but because of the nature of those who seek it.
But, why bother? Who'd publish it without ripping it to shreds, if anybody?

Love and Puncture Wounds
It is a story of a man whose love for a woman drives him to alcoholism. Fueled by desire and the unattainable beauty that is this woman, the man writes his love a note directing her to the local alley for a heart-to-heart talk. When she arrives, butterflies in stomach and all, she is horribly butchered by the man and thrown into his pickup truck.
After arriving at his farm, he throws the woman into a laundry chute, and as he looks up at the unforgiving cosmos, he is struck down from above by a pick-axe.
Many events occur after his passing, including the slaying of the mailman, and the love story of a woman and her lust for blood.
