do you have to call the police or anything? not me.

Depends on how much damage your car suffered. Your insurance company might require a police report.

dunno in Canada, I hit a dear back when I just turned 17, my dad picked it up off the side of the road, threw it in his pickup, came home butchered that bad boy up and made jerky

Scoop that shit up and drive it home. That's fuckin protein bro, don't waste it!

lolol that's awesome dude.

we hit a deer on the road this summer, it went under the truck and the trailor, we just kept on driving.

deadlines and shit.. or something.. who knows.. hah..

A old lady from the church we went hit one in front of me...fucked it up bad, but didn't kill it. Slit it's throat, another guy took it home. No one called the cops, it didn't hurt her car too bad, she had an old land yacht, and the deer in Fl. ain't as big as they are up north. I'm assuming she either didn't need a deputy to come out and do a report, or she called one when she got home. It was around Natl Forest land, so it probably wasn't too uncommon for insurance companies to get those types of things from that area.

They are all over the sides of the roads at night where I live at. Planning on getting one of those heavy duty bumpers to go on the truck.

Insurance might want you to call the cops for the police report. Plus they use the data to determine if the deer are becoming over populated. In Iowa the deer are so plentiful they added a rifle season which had previously been illegal.

i manage a body shop and no you do not need a police report for insurance reasons.

Don't worry about it messing up your record -- go ahead and file a claim if you've got collision coverage.

Deer and windshields don't count in most states.
