What are you going to grow this year and are you ready to plant!

I am...I have the itch to start digging in the dirt! to bad it is going to snow today

i want tomatoes and cucumbers, they are pretty easy to grow and i dont have a green thumb:(

LOLOLOL sure ya do lol..........you can grow some really cool container gardens on your patio

I really need to tear apart the landscaping in front of my house. I kind of hate to get rid of the bushes that I have because they're so mature but at minimum I need to clip them back. I want to take better care of my lawn this year.

Last year I planted a ton of hosta in the shady portion of my yard. I can't wait to see it come in fully this year. It always looks a bit rough the first year it's in. I'm pondering taking out a 1' section of grass on either side of the sidewalk and planting pansies or something. Maybe pansies and snapdragons. Something with lots of color.

i have a big garden - a little over 1/2 an acre this year. I'm in zone 8, so can put stuff in the ground starting now.

Yesterday I planted French Tarragon seedlings, Pak Choi, spinach & Leeks. Saturday I planted 200 Asparagus roots, 50 raspberrys, 9 grapes & 9 blueberry bushes. Today I'll put in apple trees and then drive stakes for all the fruit I planted.

When it gets a little warmer, I'll plant tomatoes, cukes, squash, basil, parsley, cilantro, eggplant, peppers, & amaranth. When it's nice and warm, I'll plant watermelon, pumkins, sunflowers, & zinnias.

I personally dont care for to much garden work but will go help my parents once in awhile so I can have a couple days of picking veggies!

They grow green/red peppers, tomatos, beans (the best!!) squash, cucumbers (english style burpless) and more.

Its always ncie to go over bring the dog to play with theirs and take the basket out and fill it up ":)

Oh! I'm also going to take cuttings from my mom's rubarb plants. It will be heavenly to have my own. I know just where I'm going to plant them too.

why are coffee grinds good for plants? What do they do or help with? Is it good for indoor and outdoor plants?

coffee grinds are acidic, and will adjust the PH of the soil. This is really good for roses, somehouse plants, hydrangeas, etc. Too many can kill other plants. The grinds are also good for adding organic matter to the soil. It loosens up the soil you've got and makes it easier for the plants to spread their roots out. (if you mix it in with the soil)

3 years ago, I went to Starbucks twice a week for a month and picked up all their coffee grounds. 100 pounds at a time. :D I added them to my garden because the soil was so heavy. Worked like a charm.
