Few questions...

Why not use flax post workout?

Fat slows down absorption of the carbs and protein

How important is what time of day you take your vitamins?

I believe best is b-4 bed or right after training

Is there a large importance put on additional potassium other than what I get from a multi vitamin?

Yes. Helps reduce cramping tremendously

What is Uncle Udo's?

ANother flax oil - stick with MQ - just as good

I think that I have some V2G laying around that is expired...worth taking?

Yes but you gotta take a shit load of caps to get a god dose

Why take glutamine post workout AND 2 hours later?
Immed with vreatine and simple carbs - to hit quickly and then later with regular foosto get another spike

How important is loading creatine?

It's not.

Why add additional Vit E?

Reduces oxidation caused by heavy lifting - always increase C proportionally as well.

WoW!! So much info...thanks for the ideas!!!

lololol

What about an EF shirt??

Seriously I was VERY happy to hear that the nutritionl chages you made between contests helped...I think the Flax and TT360 were MOST beneficial.

well, I'll try to explain though be patient to me because my English may not be good for some terms :)

>>How important is what time of day you take your vitamins?
I consider this something such as breakfast and dinner... it may be too hard for an athlete to begin the day without food because in breakfast you give your body nutrients that will use readily given that you were asleep for about 8-10 hours without any food. So your body will absorb vitamins quickly... at night is something sort of what it would do to your body to go to sleep without eating anything?? something like that

>>Is there a large importance put on additional potassium other than what I get from a multi vitamin?
depends on how much potassium the multivitamin contains.

>>Why take glutamine post workout AND 2 hours later?
Glutamine can contribute to glucogen muscular recovery after they have been decreased or exhausted at the end of a workout session. So after workout you give your body what you exhausted and then you add more for maintenance during the day.

>>How important is loading creatine?
This is because the quantity of creatine that can be accumulated in the muscle is somehow limited, that is why is is necessary an initial loading phase followed by a maintenance phase, so that it can be easier to maintein the total levels of creatine that can be absorbed.

>>Why add additional Vit E?
Even when Vit E is known by its antioxidant properties and prevention for heart diseases, it can play an important factor to prevent acquired muscle loss. It also helps to reduce muscle fatigue during exercise because it reduces inflamation supporting "prostaglandin" production which prevents spasms of the muscle by moving calcium and oxigen to the tissue.
Vit E is also necessary for maintaining the skeletal muscle system, and helps for iron absorption.

Cornholio: I only have one EF shirt...and I wear it all the time. Afraid to wear it when I train...because it would get filthy.. I do thank YOU very much for the supplement advice...very much.

nikkita: Tons of great advice. Please stick around this board...I could use the advice.

spatts: What is a colloidal mineral?

I'm with Corn on the loading creatine B. It's a waste of money.

I've used creatine since it came out and usually loaded it until a year ago or so. Now when i start it up i just stick with 10 grams a day everyday and notice no differance whatsoever by the end of a week (the recommended loading duration). By the way i'm a big guy 320 lbs.

Also a little known bit of info. Creatine serum levels in the blood were shown to peak about 2 hours after supplementation. So try and take it around 2 hours before lifting/contest with some carbs.

On another note. I would recommend taking your vits and mins twice a day. Especially in the heat. And dont forget your a big guy. Almost twice the size of your average man.

Good luck Big B.
