If you could retire, what would you be doing?

I was thinking about this the other day. There's not much that I do in life. I don't have many hobbies and spend most of my free time either doing more work or thinking of new ways to make my functional team or company more effective.

If I retired, I don't know what else I'd do.

I'm thinking right now that if I retired, I'd try to run for a local government office. Or start my own religion (ala Scientology).

What would you do?

I am.

A typical day is very busy and includes:
- workout
- review of financials
- breakfast at a resturant
- outside/inside house and grounds maintenance
- free reading
- 3 hours family child care
- online communication
- entertainment
- unrushed lunch and dinner meals
- romance

The trick is to have family, income, health and continual contacts with new people.

I would play atleast 5 rounds of golf a week.

I'd want to travel and get WAY more into dog training/competition.

I wouldn't mind investing in more dogs too and breeding them.

Nothing. I would enjoy the things I've worked for, relax and enjoy the few years I have left with no huge responsibilities. Far as hobbies go, I would either continue my home improvement addiction, or restore an old car.

I don't know. Sometimes I think the struggle of life is what keeps us going. It's such a challenge. Ahh whatever.

I'd be full time volunteer in the border stopping Illegal immigration and start an organization to reform the whole immigration system that is starting to kill this empire from inside.

Definitely still work but would take a lot of the pressure off. Take more time off to travel, surf, climb etc it would be wonderfull.

I wouls spend it quietly with the family. Doing some home improvements once in a while. Relax, visit some internets (like here at EF) maybe become a mod, do some online trading for extra "spending money", have the sex. Just have fun in my old age.

Right away I would buy a nice sail boat and take the tour. I have always felt the trip around the world is something I want to do when I am older. I would have certain people fly into destinations and make legs of the trip with me and then fly them out. I would do it real causually and take my time to relax, dive and see those parts of the would. I'm sure the event would change me at that point so predictions beyond that would be a waste.
