If, say 50-75% of the human population were to just disappear, would you mind?

Demand wouldn't be higher because there'd assumably be 50% less people who'd want a custom made good... coinciding with the reduction of 50% of skilled craftsman.

Amount of money individuals have would go up, but prices would change to reflect this increase so i'd imagine the relative cost of things would stay about the same.

yeah you're right, there would be 50% less people trying to get that special thing.

But there would be statistical anomalies. If you picked 50% at random, there are going to be soem groups of people that get more than 50% of their ranks obiterated.

It would be weird and hard to deal with.

I think lots of people mean lots of diversity and that's a good thing, as long as you're not taxing the resources of the planet too much.

If the 75% were only the whole Eastern Hemisphere, it would then be empty and I could move to the Sahara or the Arabian Desert and get away from all this fucking goddam fricking rain!

getting larger your premise needs modifying what you should have said is what if 75% of the men disapeared off the earth. Now that would be cool. We would make the women do all the work and if they were nice the few men left we would give em satisfaction.

If 3/4 of the male population disappeared. The women would not be doing all the work -- In reality, it means each man would have to do 4 times the work he is doing now.

It's like the statistic that for every dollar a man makes, his wife makes only 75 cents. The stat neglects to add "that means that for every dollar a man makes, the wife gets to spend $1.75!
