if gear is confiscated

just out of curiosity, if an order happened to be confiscated by customs what is the usual procedure? will they notify local authorities in your area or notify the DEA or do they just send you a letter? has anybody had this happen or know someone it has happened to. i can't imagine that they have the time or resources to prosecute every seized package. just wondering

This is the kind of question that should be asked on the legal forum. You'll get the most informed answers there. But from what I've read you pretty much have it right. Customs in some cases will notify local authorities. We've seen this, we know it happens. Do they do this with every package? Probably not. Do you have to have a large pack seized in order for this to occur? No.

No. I dont think anyone has ever had their gear seized. It all makes it through customs. If it did then you'll get a letter and thats it. Unless it was a large amount and then you might be in some trouble.

mine was siezed recently and all i recieved was a letter from customs.I just told me that it was siezed and explained the law about importing drugs.Nothing ever happend.This same thing happend to a lot of my friends.Nobody is going to stop me from doing juice.I just keep ordering like nothing ever happend.
