If cost wasn't a concern...

While on a cycle, would it be wise to live off of MRPs as opposed to eating whole foods?

Last cycle I had 3 a day (easy source of 210g protein) and also had a protein bar once a day. I made great gains but a lot of people say whole foods are very important.

I am not sure....Personally I like whole foods and feel they are important..I'll bump for more answers though

Hell NO! MRPs should be used inbtween meals and to get in some extra calories and Protein but not used to replace meals. You need the real stuff. MRPs are great and are good to have around incase you are on the run and cant get food but by all means eat real food first!

No No No, trust me on this one :D anyone who has tried both ways will tell you that food is where its at. A meal here and there is ok but you need at least 3 but closer to 4 or 5 whole food meals a day.

Lord no! There's all kinds of crap in food that scientists don't even know about but we need. There's anti-oxidants, isoflavones, water (you get more water from food then you may think), minerals, vitamins, and the list goes on. The absorption of vitamin and mineral supplements sucks large donkey testicles IMO and you need to get most of your nutrients from whole foods.
 
Just to let you know, I do eat whole foods.

Usually oatmeal or eggs for breakfast, can of tuna as a snack, a sandwich with high protein meat and veggies for lunch, meat for dinner and (2) strips of CostCo turkey before bed (stuff's got 11g of Protein per slice and 0 carbs) :D

But I do still have 2-3 shakes a day.
 
the MRP are great but not alot of fiber and are used very quickly by you body even if you have all the cals
and protein needed you would still be hungrey all day long
