For real what is up with Karma Whoring?

When it was first introduced I did it for a while and then figured out that it is just stupid and a waste of time more so than this waste of time. That's really wasting a lot of time.

Anyway tell me what you personally get out of karma whoring? My curiosity is piqued and I would like some honest replies please.

I don't whore all that much, but it is a nice feeling when someone appreciates your posts therefore words and thought and expresses it.

Kind of like when that kid at the gym asks you for advice and tells you 'you're huge' even though you aren't a pound over 200.

I don't really like it that much. Gets to be hackneyed and lame sometimes. But, other times, under the right circumstances, it can be fun.

But I like the true, earned karma better.

I never understood how karma threads worked. Like, am I really "cool" enough?

I thought it was thing to do cause everyone does it. I don't know what I'd do if one of you jumped off a bridge. But honestly, I didn't really know what a karma thread was until I saw one last week and I was like WTF is this? I'm not talking about new folks either. The one I'm referring to was started by a mod. I guess that's how everyone gets all those green dots. Kinda undermines the whole concept of karmic "corrections". I hope I don't get banned for this.

Sometimes I'll go into a whore thread and give some to the poor
desperate dweebs, but I never post up implying I want anything from them.

I also appreciate the rare times when someone sees something I post as entertaining or enlightening and comments via Karma..
