if I stay in Kentucky. Here is the typical man around here. God, I wish I was kidding. I don't mean to be a bitch, but this is an actual guy hitting me up. Nice fanny pack, don't you think?

I have no idea what he does, and his grammar isn't the issue, but he has nothing exciting or interesting to talk about.

IMHO Boring or Dull is as bad as having a poor command of the English language, which for me (If you are born in this country) = not very smart so that would remove him from what I would deem a dating prospect of interest regardless of any other quality that I would be interested in.

So this is an online dating thing I take it?

I will be honest, just from the pic alone, I didn't really see too much that was all that awful. You can guide the man towards better warddrobe choices (if it is THAt important). He wasn't a bad looking guy...

Not the way I meant it. For me, the woman would have to be really knocking my socks off if I'd think about getting into something with her when she's pregnant. From the way it sounds, you've gotten over the ex, but there's a shitload of issues that are coming up for you where whoever might be with you could be taking on a shitload of responsibilities. From the drive to the hospital to understanding that you'll be a little crazy while your hormones get back to where they should be, to everything kiddo. That's a lot of shit. I don't know. Maybe I just think about that stuff.

I understand where Jnevin is coming from and to some extent, he is sorta right.

My circumstances were not *happy resposiblity* (like yours) but it was A LOT to ask any man to take on, just as it would be for any man that agreed t enter your life right now so you can't be upset, actually you should be happy that a guy is respectfull of your present situation if he says, "this is a bit much for me right now".... A had a lot of guys all into tapping my ass and not so many who really cared about ME or MY SITUATION....

But my husband and I found one another in spite of BOTH of our crazy circumstances (We keep his half of it off elite).

It will take an amazing man to want to take on such responsibility but that isn't a bad thing. Just means that you will INSTANTLY weed out all the men that are not worthy for you and your son.

You seem like a very sweet, generous lady. We can see that you are bright and very beautiful. You and your son will have ample opportunity to have a great man in your lives. Because you and he are so rare, recognize that so will this man be. :)

We just had a talk and came to a mutual agreement. I was doing different things than him. I've got a baby on the way and am focused on that. He has no baggage and is still wanting to go out, and I don't usually feel up for it. He's back and forth with work lots. We just were working out better being friends.

Yeah, I'm actually not in a hurry. Sometimes I get really lonely, because it is just my nature to love having a steady bf. Most of the time, though, I'm busy trying to get things in order.

I have had a few nice dates while I've been prego. Nice guys, but of course they are cautious. No big deal.

I just am one of those gals who thrives on having someone to dote on.

I wasn't saying there's anything wrong with single mammies. I just don't think much of guys that'll shoot for sexuals with a woman with a kid and not know what it could do to the wimmens or kids. I've had guy friends do it and seen wimmens friends deal with it.

HR, being lonely guides us into making bad choices. It's when you love being alone and the "icing" comes along, that is usually when you find a good guy.
Being lonely is not horrible once you get used to it :-)

It's much easier to be alone than in a relationship. Some people can't be alone without being lonely...there's a difference. :)

Stop and listen for a minute...

Wanting someone to love and cherish YOU the way that you are capable of loving and cherishing is not selfish or destructive... and neither is holding out till you meet someone who will treat you this way and do it GLADLY!

I was the same as you, grew up similarly and so I chose partners that would treat me the only way that I knew how to be treated: abusively. I remember the first time a man doted on me. I sat there, uncomfortably not knowing WHAT to do as my entire life I had served others. And you know what? I GOT USED TO IT so much so that I would only date a man that reveled in the fact that he was selfless and WANTED to dote on me.

Just a little tidbit:

When you are gettting to know a man ask him this simple question:

"Are you a giver or a taker?"

Unless the IMMEDIATE response is: "YES"

the answer is "NO." and move on.

There are only two types of people in the world in this respect: givers and takers. When two givers align, it is a beautiful thing... think about that, a never-ending circle of giving. :)
