Someone did a hit and run on me while I was on vacatation this summer. Fucked my hood and front bumper up. I just payed for it so my insurance didn't go up. Today I am riding down the interstate and a metal plate comes over the car in front of me and completely goes through my hood like a knife through butter, bounces off my engine, bust my winshield, then cuts a hole in my roof. It was about 3 square feet of pure steel. There was nothing I could do, cars were on both sides of me. It could have easliy came through my windshield and killed me if it was flying right. It was tumbling end over end. Thank God it wasn't flying like a frisbee.

working in a steel plant i see how them fucking trucks are loaded. I used to load some of them when i first started there. Some truckers dont even check there loads to make sure they are secure before they take off. I even had a trucker bitch at me for strapping it down to hard and he had trouble getting them undone at times. Ive seen lots of pictures in the shipping office where shit flys off the truck and and scatters all over the interstate. I stay away from trucks as much as possible.

I got a small ding on my Benz a couple of years ago in much the same way and called the cable company that owned the truck and gave them the info. I sent them a jacked estimate from my body shop and voilla- $780 minus the $75 it cost to have the ding pulled. Just an idea....

I'd like to see them work on the ability for drivers to tape what happens in front of them including speedometor and traffic lights....conveniently.

It is not qute worth it....most of the time. I sure would like the ability though....for accidents and tickets and stuff.

Nothing worse than a bullshit ticket. 1/2 of them are.

Claim that shit on your insurance and get it fixed - they can't jack your rates for a no fault incident. Its just like when someone breaks into your car - rates won't go up, the only thing they can do is drop you if you have too many incidents in a short period of time. Same thing happened to me, except is was a 3' long 2"x4" that flew out of the back of a truck - broke my windshield, small dent in the A pillar, and a few marks on the hood - $800 insurance check - $150 for the windshiled, and I buffed out the marks on the hood - left the small dent, not noticeable at all - $650 in my pocket...
