It's a great little town, along with it's Twin City, Lead, which just got the award, by the National Science Foundation, to turn the old Homestake Mine into an underground lab to study neutrinos. The initial stage will be a three year feasibility study and then they will decide how much of the original plan to implement. All in all, the whole area should benefit greatly.

Lots of historical interest there as well.
