i cant sEEM TO FOCUs on thiS PART OF MY TRICEP... IVE READ CLOse grip bench with build all three headS, Is thiS TRUE.. THIS iS A LAGGING PART OF MY ARM :(

HELP OUT BROTHERs

I like close grips and reverse grip bench for the tris. I am not lean enough for it to really stand out but I do have a pretty good horseshoe now.

Cheers,
Scotsman

I have very noticeble outer tri's which come from cable press downs without doubt, make sure you lockout you elbows and switch between rope and the v-grip attachment, Inner tri would be Decline close grip or like the other guy says I like reverse pull downs with a curl bar like attachment,

awesome, i switch between dips and over head bar ext, close grip bench and skulls, and press downs and 1 hand over head ext...

maybe its because i dont lock out, is that crucial for working that part of the tri?

I think you may be overlooking one very important point.

Look at the mass and bodyfat of the guy in the picture.

Hah, I have to agree with Debaer there. I don't think there's much you can do to isolate that part of the muscle. Just get bigger. End of story.

You have to lockout!! Lock your arm out right now while your sitting at the computer, That muscle does not even engage intil the last inch. Goos luck and let me know how this works out for you.

must be genetic then, because i work my tris hard. and they are a decent size except for that one part... i must have ronnie coleman tricep symdrome.

Personally, I think guys who don't lock out on triceps movements are robbing themselves. Just feel your tri as you flex it through a full range of motion and you'll know what I am talking about.

Also, man, don't make yourself crazy looking at pics of pro bodybuilders. I am assuming that is you in your avatar and your triceps look fine, don't stress over it, your tris are in proportion to the rest of you. Look at the pic of that guy. Do you have his chest, biceps, lats, shoulders, back? No, so don't expect his triceps. Also, that dude's tris looked clean, but if you look at a lot of pro's you'll be like "How did he develop that muscle" , and he probably shot some Synthol in it. Anyway, my point is you're making progress and you look fine, lock out your triceps movements and see the difference that makes.

i had the exact same problem, always did CG bench, dips, the whole nine. surprisingly enough it seems that tri pushdowns did the trick for me. i have to agree about locking out, though i wouldn't do it on CG bench. just MO.
