I think my nuts are spoiled

I had this bag of mixed almonds and walnuts in my desk for a few months. I thought they'd still be good because I didn't really think nuts could go "bad". So I tried the almonds and they tasted stale, so I tried a walnut, and it was even worse.

I seriously didn't think nuts could spoil.
