i think i just hit a vein!!!

i aspirated, two big bubbles and no blood, then a drop, but i figured no big deal, then when i draw out, i'm gushing, i mean i have to use two cotton balls to clean up, both soaked with blood. so if i did inject in a vein, what happens? this isn't cool.

You went THROUGH a vein, not in to one.

If you aspirating and got bubbles, you were in the muscle and not a vein. When you withdrew the pin, it allowed the blood to flow out of a vein your pierced on the way in to the muscle.

No biggy, you'll be fine.

bro i went through one the other day too.... pulled the pin out and DARK red blood came pouring out onto the floor!! scared the shit outa me.. anyways, if u do inject into a vien u will know within 30 seconds cause you'll be passed out

Hadn't it been easier to start all over again, because of the drop of blood. Now you are worried for hours and for what?
If you had 2 airbubbles and then a drop of blood you didn't went through a vein, if so the drop would have shown first before the air.

I haven't had any popped veins since I started using 25G's instead of 22's. They go in easy and have less chance of striking a vein or nerve.

hell no i can't start over, i use a 20g. and that blood was dark, it scared me!!!

don't worry I have done the same thing in my leg. No side effects other than a bruise for about a week.
