I think I could possibly have an abcess......

I think it just might be possible that I have an abcess. I'm not sure. I've never had QV Enth swell up this much before. They always swell slightly, like ever so slightly, but this is quite a bit. Its in my glute. See, the first time I got the pin all the way in, down to the hilt, and when I pulled back, blood in the syringe. So, I took the whole thing out, moved about an half an inch up, and went all the way to the hilt again, no blood this time when pulling back. HOWEVER, it was difficult to inject the juice, like kinda hard to push the durn plunger in. I had to use some force, not really sure why, scare tissue maybe? Anyway, when I pulled the pin back out, slight amount of blood like always, HOWEVER, there are now two holes, one above the other, and I felt a small lump, IMMEDIATELY after pulling the pin out, I think it was that the blood clotted, and formed a small lump. I am taking carao, which is a blood builder and anti-anemic, so maybe that had something to do with it. This all happened on Wednseday. I noticed some swelling yesterday, just like I always have, but today it got worse and larger. Now, there is no redness, no bruising, and no heat coming from it. Its just sore, like a muscle being sore. Pretty durn swollen though. Feels like there is a not down in there when I rub hard on it, probably swollen tissue, as I have small swollen areas with any injections of QV Enth. Its not like it really hurts, its just noticable. It is pretty swollen though. I am going to be using a heating pad on it tonight to see if that helps. On a second note, if this is a small abcess (big if), does that mean the gear I injected, is going to waste since there is an infection (if there is one)? Like somehow since its not useable since there is an infection and inflammed (if it is an abcess) tissue there?

A hematoma? I not thinking to clearly right now. Gimme a little explanation gilly if you would be so kind. Also, would this effect the test in any way that I shot? Was the shot wasted or not useable because of the hematoma? Or am I ok in the gear department, and my body will use it fine?

thats because you are shooting that mexican piss water in your ass. I bet if came from the 50ml bottle, correct. That shit is known for swelling and pain.
In the future, only shoot one cc at a time with that stuff or mix it with something else in the syringe. Then you have to literally rub the area for a while after the shot.

PM if you have any other questions bro

10ml bottle. No 50ml jugs here, and only 1ml at a time. I've never had a bad experience with QV. I believe this time around it was more user error. Any advice on whether the gear was wasted or not?

it's basically just a collection of blood form the ruptered vessel....you and your gear should be fine....

So the gear is not wasted? Good. Thanks for the help gilly, karma from me. I appreciate it bro.

I'm confused as to why people would apply HEAT to a suspected bacterial infection. I keep reading this, but there is NO WAY I would put a heating pad on an injection of vet gear in the first couple of days.

If I get what appears to be an abscess, I will stick it with an 18 guage and drain the bitch myself. I have done this 3 times with great sucess.
Once I must have pulled out about 10 cc's worth of of light yellow fulid.

I've seen two other guys besides you say that before. I think if it got bad enough, thats exactly what I would do, however I don't think I'd use an 18 gauge though. At this point, I'm also confused over the heat issue, but I don't believe I have an infection or else I assume it would hurt alot more. Its pretty freaking swollen, but I think it would be alot more tender and have some redness if it was an infection. I could be wrong though. I will be keeping an eye on it. How long does it take for a Hematoma to do away?

sounds like an impacted blood vessel. Ive had them and they usually show some bruising dark colored area. The lump will pass soon, but the bruise could linger a while

Well, learn something new everyday. Yeah it doesn't even feel really tender at all today. Just swelling. I appreciate the replies fellahs, karma all around.

I'm curious about this as well. Any comments from anyone about it? Should you or shouldnt you? Would ice be a better idea?
