I think Deion Sanders is leaving at the right time...

Although I'll miss watching him play, I think he is going out at a good time. He has lost a step and can no longer dominate a game the way he used to and doesn't present the same fear factor. I don't think his ego will le thim play if he can't be the best. Granted, he wasn't much of a tackler, but he dominated a game the way no other cornerback of the past generation could ever dream of...

Darrell Green is still going strong. He is starting in place of Sanders this year. absolutely amazing...he was a rookie in '83 I believe. Champ Bailey is going to be awesome an dhe had some great veterans to guide him his first few years, same with the rookie they drafted, Fred Smoot. He looks like he could be great, but he has an attitude...

Darryl Green still doin his thang at 41 biggie..

But yeah Deion's best years were with atlanta and dallas and with san fran...now its like he's an average cb in the NFL..so yeah i'm glad he is done..but reports saying is that he retired so he could go with another team with a new contract.

and yes biggie, deion was da man back in da day

who is this deion character you speak of? i remember a prime time sanders but he retired after he left the niners... actually, prime time died when he left the niners... i never heard of him again. nope, never...

by the way, he should have quite prior to last year... by going to washington he basically said "i want to be the most winningest cb ever so i am going to go to washington and win a title with my 3rd team so i can become the greatest cb to ever play the game as far as superbowl wins"

hey dickface sanders.... NEVER SHOULD HAVE PLAYED FOR DALLAS and MAYBE i'd still like ya. selfish greedy bastard.

Deion has always been an incredible marketer of himself and has damned keen business sense. He has basically used every team he has played for.

my feelings on deion are, and by the way this was mentioned by john madden also..........deion sanders is the best all-around player in the history of the NFL!

just because madden said something does not mean its true.. the guy followed dallas around for 5 years so of course he saw them play more than anyone else.. before that it was san fran...

john madden is a fuckin bag of wind, the guy is fucking annoying... IF (thats a big if) he says something worth saying he repeats it 3 times until summerall basically says... "shut up fat ass its time for the next play"...

anyway, when you say all around player.. what do you mean? he was not a good receiver, he was a threat but NOT GOOD by any means... he was an awesome return man and obviously a great cover guy who "cut the field in half".

Nice of him to take 8 mil from the red skin in signing bonus only to play a year for them.

He ran a bunch of people down from behind last year and popped the ball out a couple times......I think two more years would have been in line......with years in the league you need to play smarter and redefine your role. You had the ability to still do a lot of great things.

the thing with deion is i dont believe he would be able to be moved... he could never play safety due to his feminine play... he's the kid on the playground that would trip you to tackle you...

woodson and lake are both guys with such cover ability and tackle strength that they made good safeties after being moved... (wasnt lake a safety, then corner, then safety?)

anyway, that happens a lot to older corners, but deion would never make it.

last year was a "down" year for him but he was still effective... i dont think he can handle being a number 2 corner, champ scared him away... that and age.
