I switched from ON whey to a cheaper brand... loss of mass?

I was running low on whey and couldn't order any from the internet in time for my next workout, so ended up buying 5lb from my local market which has a bodybuilding store. I was sold NRG Fuel, which shows a similiar percent in protein. But I seem to have visibily lost mass since I switched over.

Reasons I have in my head is:

ON Whey has microfiltered isolates, ion-exchange, hydrowhey etc

ON Whey has glutamine.

What do you think is the most probable cause of this loss of mass, and shluld I carry on taking this cheaper brand :worried: (I say cheaper, it cost exactly the same)

Man, no idea...
I for one am always skeptical of protein powders.

I took nature's best for years and with excellent results. It is xpensive but I can tell you from my own experience that it is good quality. The taste is horrible though.
from what I read on these boards, ProteinFactory is a good quality protein, as is Syntrax. ON is supposed to be good too.

Well, bump for you.

You lose mass because 1 of 3 primary reasons:

1) not taking in as many calories as u used to (outside shot the new protein has SIGNIFICANTLY less cals per serving?? I *HIGHLY* doubt it)

2) You are not training as effectively.

3) You are doing too much cardio.

Some other possibilities are: not getting enough rest, under too much stress, not timing your diet (pre, post workout, first thing in the morning, right before bed) right, you might be ill.

Switching protein brand, in and of itself, is not causing u to lose mass.

thanks for clearing that up, since everythings been kept consistant i can only draw to the conclusion that it's due to my physically demanding job getting harder, or possibly me becoming fatigued.
