Yes this is job number 9 in the past 2 years but this is the one I was waiting for. It’s a state job with unbelievable benefits. Not only do I get discounts in these places

But I get about $30,000 in benefits for medical, dental, vision, 2 weeks paid vacation, amongst many others.
When I was applying for the job I did not realize the benefits package they had. They also have 2 retirement plans as well as an optional 3rd plan, a 403(b) plan. They match every dollar I put in it.
The job is as easy as they come. I am considered a Security Officer which by law is just below a police officer. I have to go through the police academy in order to get certified. Some people say "oh your just a security guard" and trust me that’s what I thought as well. But the truth is we have the authority to arrest people just like a police officer does. The only thing we don’t have is a gun but we have everything else a cop carries. I work at the college I go to and I also get reimbursed for my college expenses. Even if I attend a different college they have tuition assistance.
But like I said we have the same authority as a cop as well as we have a badge and uniform that the police have as well. When I go to a store on my way home from work people get scared I’m going to do something to them. One lady begged me not to give her a ticket because she parked in handicap parking.
This is only until I finish school but who knows I might enjoy it and stay a while.
at leased the job is steady not like when i was working night clubs. i cant complain about the pay either. at times i cant believe i get paid to do what i do.
