That gives me a lot of hope :) I'm 20 and have been training for four years (absolutely not properly for three, and correctly for one). If I gain 20lbs of LBM in the next year I will be over the moon.
 
You have to understand though, and I think you do, eating is the most important thing a natural (or juiced) athlete does, second is sleep, third is training, and fourth is taking time off.

I put on 40 lbs, but I got real fat, then cut back down, then blew up then cut back down...over the period I put on 120 lbs and lost 80...so you see it isn't simple to grow with a six pack

Um...when did this turn into a thread about my breasts? lol

I was actually fatter there, but much skinnier. I was about 125 pounds (5'9"). Since then, I've added about 40 pounds of lean body mass. Thank to the mass, and nursing my son, I'm pretty much missing ALL that.

Anyway, back on topic...

My body genuinely feels like a testosterone factory at the moment. I hope my eating, rest, training and girl can keep up. I can sense the pounds being packed on in a very, very big way :D

17 is a great time to start. You'll be raging with hormones for quite some years yet...
 
when does the male test/GH go down, I am 22 and right now I feel like im on a peak, more so then when I was 19, would you say our test levels are highest at 17-25???
 
I'm 34 and making good gains. I weighed 160 in october, now I weigh 190 - mostly muscle gain. My "natural" state is too be skinny and weak.

I've decided I've been 190 long enough - now I'm moving up to 200. :)

Either way, they are all fake, and therefore less attractive in my mind. Im not much of a boob man anyway, I like a plump bootie.

Personally, I have had a lot easier time making gains after 25 than I did before. I worked out in high school quite a bit, and off and on after that, but my diet wasn't so great. I was bigger than the average guy, but that was mostly genetics. When I was 26, I hit the gym seriously and put on 40 lbs in 6 months, naturally. I don't think I would have had an easy time doing that at 18.

Even if natural test/GH/whatever levels are higher between 15 and 25 or whatever, I don't think the body is primed to store mass at that age nearly as well as it is after 25. Look at the pros. If natural hormone levels played that much into it, the top guys would be in their mid 20's. Instead, with a few exceptions, all of the top competing pro's are in their 30's.
