I had enough with the one fucked up manager at the bar tonight and I quit. Right there on the spot. Never done that in my life.
 
I did that once...told my boss to go fuck himself. Wanted to knock him out...but I didn't. I just walked away...I still regret not punching him, although I still might some day;)
 
This ass is always pulling power trips I had enough of it. I have a day job and I don't have to work there. I feel a little bad cause he is the only manager I don't get along with I like every one else that I work with there. I plan on calling the owner and telling her what an ass he is.

One of my first jobs was at a Gulf/Chevron station many years ago. A customer came in and wanted to know why I didn't turn the pump on for him to get diesel gasoline. I said (trying my best to be customer friendly, which is very hard for me sometimes because I don't like taking shit from assholes), "Sir, you have to prepay." He replied, "Well if you weren't sittin' on your ass back there, you would have seen me." I looked him straight in the eye and said, "Fuck you." He wanted me to come outside and fight him. Redneck trucker. We exchanged more words and then the manager of the store said that she was gonna call the police, so the asswipe left. I was fired the next weekend. Hmm. I wonder why? I would do it all over again. Mother fucking prick.

Yup sad thing is it is just this on manager I have a great relationship with the rest of the managment. Problem is he is the manager I work with most.
 
I worked as a convenience store clerk one summer in high school. I actually hopped the counter and sent a rude sonofabitch sprawling across the floor one day. He was insisting on opening up a package of three apples because he only wanted to buy one. I told him he couldn't...he said "Bullshit, you snot-nosed punk". That was it...you do not challenge a 16 year-old bundle of testosterone like that. I never got fired though...turns out the owner (who was there in the mornings often) had dealt with the asshole before. He tried to suppress a smile when I told him what happened, and he only half-heartedly told me to show more restraint in the future.
 
SuperQT....post up the name of the bar and the first name of the asshole manager. Some of us are in Toronto from time to time, and could go in there to make his life 'difficult'. :devil:

Good for you, QT! I just quit one of my "jobs" today too. I went through two days of training, and this was supposed to be my last day, and I would have started today, but it was a sales job, and that to me equals too much ass kissing and not enough steady income.
You'll find another better job, sweetie. :)

I think this shit is the way of the world with old people and younger people today. Old people preconceive younger people to be juvenile delinquents, and when the kid tries to stand up for himself, the older people see that as the decline of civilization, bad slacker kids, blah blah blah. So basically they can blame themselves.

Yupper and bartend once in a blue moon. There is other managers there that I can get a glowing reference from. I am lucky that it is only my part time thing many full timers would like to do what I did last night.

I really depend on the band that was playing and what kind of draw they had. I have made as much as $180 and as little as nothing. A normal shift is 3-6 hours. I have been thinking about looking for a bartending job at a peelers we will see I know there is good money there.

Yeah I dunno about the party my ass off thing I did that last summer. I am trying to build some muscle so I have been abstaining from drinking and will be tell around July. Also no party habbits either cause it fucks with your system I wont eat for almost 48 hours when I do that stuff. I will probably go out and be DD my friends are going to love that.
 
You go girl!! Don't put up with their crap if you don't have to!!
 
Years ago, when I was working in a club, I used to tell the owner on a regular basis that his club sucked big time and his staff was at best, a bunch of lazzy fucks. He kept calling me back to work and gave me raise. We played that game for about 2 years until I got fired. I have no regrets cause it was for sure, the worst club in Montreal.

Got one like taht at my current job. Owner is gone alot lately and this new supervisor will even push and shove the workers, ain't brave enough to do it to me yet.But we had 2 guys quit this week over him.Glad you told him what you think girl.
 
QT good for you for not dealing with people's nonsense when you dont HAVE to. I have quit many measly jobs like that when i was younger. Like this one time i hated my job at the grocery store bakery that i went to take a break and snuck right out in the middle of my shift. One time i was working at a restuarant in the CArry out part and the heroine addict line cook called me of all people a skank cuz i wouldnt let him pull up my shirt (WTF>?) so i told him to fuck himself and i walked out hahaha. then the owner tried to tell me i wasnt getting my last check cuz iw alked out. but, my dad took care of that with a quickness and of course i got my money LOL
 
I am thinking of writing a letter to the owner to apologies for my lack of notice and to tell her what an ass the one manager is. Thoughts on this?

I would like to talk to her in person but she is only in the office on weekdays when I am at my day job. Plus with a letter I can get out all my thoughts more clearly than over the phone.
 
Last night was my first night at my new night job. It was late afternoon and the crowd was a little rowdy... I am the only little female in the place. One loudmouthed dude was talking all kinds of obnoxious bullshit, just to see if he could scare me away.

I meekly walked behind the bar in my little powder pink lowrise hiphuggers, smiled a gentle little smile then loudly in my best "don't fuck with me because I may be small but I don't take shit" voice said, "YALL BETTER BE NICE TO ME,MOTHERFUCKERS! "

The guys went nuts... said, "YOU'RE HIRED!"

By the end of my shift I made BANK.... the guys were leaving the go-go bar next door just to come in and see me - fully clothed, no makeup, talking about my kids all night...

Yea, I may be small and meek, but my shit-taking days are waaaaaaay over. :D
 
If you really didnt like the job , then good for you! Othewise you will regret it. Trust me. Its better to work at the bars then go to them. Just my .02

I like cocktail waitressing and pretty sure I could find another job if I wanted to, but I can more than get by with just one job so I may enjoy sometime off.
