Ok here is my situation. I hurt my wrist while doing laterial raises yesterday and I saw my sports med. doc. and he told me it was a sprain and I could wrap it and that may help. Well, I wrapped it and went to the gym this morning and it was my arms day. I couldn't do any biceps, but tris went bad. I called my doc. today and talking to him about it and he told me I needed to take two weeks off. Well, here is the problem I am in the middle of my first cycle. I am suppose to do my sixth shot of 400mg/weel deca of a ten week cycle. Now what should I do? I don't think I'll have any problems doing chest, but back, shoulders and arms will be a problem. So, should I stop my cycle now and start PCT in a week or should I take the two weeks off and then finish my cycle? I have made some good gains, 13 pound LBM and some phenominal strength gain. I don't want to scrap this cycle, but I don't want to hurt my wrist any worse. What should I do guys?

If you want to keep going it looks like you may have to use machines for arms. It happened to me in the past. Your strength may go up on the machines but when you get back to free weights it will be way down.
Two weeks off isn't that bad. If you have to do it... focus on your diet! Get it perfect!

are you 3 weeks in or 6 weeks in? is this a deca only cycle? what do you have for pct? how old are you? how often do you train legs? can you think you could deadlift or row with straps and not have problems witht the wrist AT ALL or would it still bother it somewhat?

depending on how you answer those questions you might want to think about wresting the wrist for 2 weeks and staying on the deca and hitting legs really hard for 2 weeks the go back to a normal routine after that.. you could also extend thecycle a few weeks as well..

good luck!

That's a tough one! I'd at least back off of any arm movement for 2-3 days and see if your wrist feels any better. If it starts feeling better, I'd ease back into it and see how it feels. You don't want to cause any further injury, but if you ease back into it, you should be able to tell if it's ready to take on more weight.

I'd say take a week off for sure, i'm sure your body could use a week off. Hit it again after the week is over and see if it still hurts. I bet you'll be fine in a week bro.

I'm suppose to do my sixth shot this Sunday. It is a deca only cycle. I have clomid and nolva for pct. I'm 26 years old. I train legs once a week. I'm not sure about the straps, never used them. So, should I do my shot this Sunday and stay away from arms and back this week and just hit chest and legs? Or should I skip my shot this week and take the week off and hit it again next week?

Take the shot, watch your diet like Slat said, hit legs hard, and maybe throw in some cardio.

Cool! That is what I was thinking about doing. I'll just do my shot Sunday and make sure I don't hurt my wrist worse. Thanks for all your guys help. I wouldn't know what to do without you guys.

Definetly give as much time off as posible.Try to do some exercises with it in warm-hot water to losen up the tendons and ligaments like maybe use a rubber ball in as hot as you can stand the water with out getting burned and work with that.

Shamrock- I had a similar situation where my wrist got f-ed up also (while I was lifting). It hurt when I did certian motions with heavier weights. I ended up taking a month off b/c of work...and when I got back into the gym on a regualr basis, I started out with lower wieghts.

I suggest you either:
a) take a 3-4 weeks off, and focus on other parts of your body..like Radar mentioned, or
b) continue your normal workout with MUCH lighter wieghts.

but either way, I would continue your cycle as planned.

GL!

Since the bros already gave you solid advice regarding the continuation of the cycle, I thought I'd voice something you hopefully already took away from this. The statement you made that stood out to me was that you've made good gains 13pounds and strength gains have been phenomenal. Just a reminder that even when your muscles are improving at a rapid pace, its up to you to limit the jumps in weight, either with techniques or increased rep counts, while observing ultra-strict form. Those who do not master this part of proper training on gear will be plagued by injuries to joints and ligaments. Not saying you did this or were careless, but just stressing the importance of learning from inuries. Best of luck in the recovery and remember that rushing it back will probably just result in twice the recovery time needed. Patience and restraint are both virtues, particularly when gear is throwing growth into overdrive.

make sure you rest it though.. dont take it easy REST IT..

good luck
