I need to clean out my gut...ugh.

Serious question, what do I take to clean out all the crud stuck in my gut? Also, do I need to stay close to a bathroom when I use whatever you suggest I do? Thanks.

What makes you think there's anything untowards in your gut? Don't believe all the hype attached to these "colon blow" products. All the weird stuff that comes out when you use those things is caused by the product.

A Fleet Prep Kit #2 will get you clean enough for a colonoscopy, but it requires fasting for a day consuming only the stuff that comes with the kit, plus clear broth or gelatin.

I cannot remember the name of the stuff I had to take before I went in for hernia surgery but the stuff totally cleaned me out in two hours (and they made me take it twice in one day!) It was at the pharmacy and it was OTC. If I remember the name I'll post it. It was the best stuff you could ever use to clean out your insides.

with regular intake of a fiber supplement (metamucil or psyllium husk (main ingredient in metamucil)) your colon will get cleaned out just fine. Also recommend taking a good probiotic for GI health.

Don't take vitamins or meds within an hour of taking a fiber supplement as it will block some absorption of these. You should also avoid eating within an hour of taking fiber supp as it will block some absorption of nutrients in your food, and the fiber will be able to do it's work better too.

If you eat a lot of red meat, or have a high protein diet, I'd strongly suggest taking bromelain with your meals to aid in protein digestion as well.

Drink plenty of water too. Depending on your deit and weight, this could range from .75 gal up to 2.5 gals/day.

Do you have any medical issues that are making you want to do this, or is it just something you feel you want to do for some reason(s)?

well VERY long story short I've been dealing with a family member in the hospital on and off (mor eon) for the past 4 or so months. Most of this hospital stuff is 5 hours away from home so eating cafeteria food, sleeping in a "bed" or in my car, and just not being on a regular schedule has got me feeling gross. VERY bloated, irregular poop schedule, just off of the norm. I've been back for a few weeks or so and I'm not clearing up. I was thinking about getting a colonic as well as taking some of the items mentioned in the posts above but never have done a colonic. It's about $55-$65 in my area for someone "certified". So anyways, eating high fiber and fruit and coffee and water isn't seeming to help get me back like I was before. So, no; no medical issues, just feeling the need to clear my system out GOOD.

Thank you for everyones reply and assistance.

You will be cleaned out in 2 hours flat with fleets phospho soda - guaranteed. I did it for a major abdominal surgery. Drink tons of water with it and you'll be shitting water in about 2 hours. Make sure you have nothing else planned for the next 2-4 hours though. When it is time to go you need to be ready.
