What are guys supposed to wear to nice clubs?
(Not that I'm going to one or anything)
(And if I do go I totally won't dance)
(Dancing is so not tough)

:cow:

Lots of affliction tees and any kind of expensive jeans are what people wear in NY.
Depends where you live or going out to. Different cities have different styles, I tend to stick out in other places.

Try nice pair of jeans, Cole Haan shoes and a nice shirt-Tshirt
don't forget the isay miyake :chomp:

check out zara--they have good quality

Everyone around here tries to look tough wearing Affliction T's and they all look like loser clones. Wear what's nice and fits your personality. I like to look different among the wannabes!!! But then I like to wear custom suits, shirts, ties and exotic skin shoes. Sometimes I wear a tshirt but never an affliction type. Besides I think anyone that pays 90 bucks for a tshirt needs to be kicked in the head to fix what's wrong with them. If you do, don't be offended but ir doesn't make sence to me to drop that kind of coin on a fad fahion. Invest in classics!!!

wear what you feel comfortable in where it be jeans, slacks, tees, tie, boots...whatever.

and of course you should dance!! dance alone if you like, don't worry about what people are thinking. let go get cought up in the excitment, move to the music and have fun!! woo hoo!!! :)

Whatever makes you comfy and confident. I can make anything work because it's not what you wear, it's how you wear it.....remember that!

Plus you're fuckin Samoth bro...dnt ever forget that!

Fuck, the metal dude in the clubs. It sucks.

The worst thing ever is country bar/clubs. Country at 110dB and flashing lights makes me feel physically ill.

Jeans, slick button up shirt and not so geigh shoes I guess is standard issue.

Nowhere nice.
Just Charlie's and Tommy Doyle's.
Samoth bitched about the music, then danced, and danced some more.

did you talk about non-linear logarithmic functions or trigonometry?

+1 on zara. not too expensive but lots of good stuff

i used to buy their jeans but they shrink too easily...no matter what and are cut kinda weird at the bottom.

i have some good t shirts and dress shirts from them though.

if you don't really have a fashion identity yet, the best bet is to go to kenneth cole and buy a bunch of stuff. alot of their stuff is classic and high quality, but not ultra expensive. lots of safe but classy bets. i buy almost all my shoes from there too

i seriously can't believe people wear affliction shirts still, or at all.

god, what a gay trend.

samoth, if you're ever in miami i'll hook a nigga up with some stylin 101

I don't wear that shit just for the record, just stating what I see out.
I wear more original stuff than that, everybody really does look the same because they're all wearing them.

The Irish Pub in Kendall Square? Glad you both had fun, I was tempted to invite you guys out last night to my gig, but it was out in the burbs - hopefully I play closer sometime soon and you both can come.

Whatever u wear - make sure it's 1 size too small, and you look like everyone else.

r

If everyone wears one size to small and you wear the correct size doesn't that actually mean you are wearing 1 size to big?

Maybe sometimes it is a better idea to judge yourself than others? Think about it.

That's why I wear Brooks Brothers like a uniform for work. I'm a jeans and t-shirt kind of guy when i go out. My jeans are basic Levi button fly, t-shirt are plain black, and shoes are either doc martens or high top black chucks. I'm a dinosaur when it comes to style.

Polo or other name brand pin point oxford buttondown, Polo or Dockers pants, all starched, and Cole Hahn or "manly footwear", I have some expensive boots.

I love a guy who can dance.

...and you guys need to cut it out with those goofy Affliction tees. It looks like you went shopping at Hot Topic.

CW... TXbondsman is around 50 like me. The country club is a good place to do business and make contacts at this age. If you see my post... I wear Brooks Brothers for work most days and dress like a cross between a surf bum and biker when I'm not working or at gym. I have the chinos and starched button downs like TX for the casual days at work. I have over a dozen pairs of shoes from the likes of Johnson & Murphy, Cole Haan etc. I am very very uncool and very very happy just the way I am. It's fun and a vicarious thrill to see what the young people are up to by reading these threads.

I don't go to the same "clubs" as someone in their 20's or 30's. I go to cigar "clubs" to smoke a nice stogie and have a good cognac or whiskey while relaxing in a leather club chair. I dine at great restaurants. I go to theater and museums. I go to ballet and symphony. We are just at different points in life. You'll be here before you know it. I'd enjoy a good cigar and whiskey while sharing a bit of life with you.

the country club, yes. and "country clubs" too. When my wife and I go out to eat and then to a nice club, that's generally what I wear. I can see a 49 year old guy rockin an affliction shirt or whatever the name is....
Invest in classics, it's money well spent.

You just keep commin round here CW, some of it GOT to wear off.... :-)

CW, or anybody for the matter, K hits to anyone who guesses what kind of sunglasses I wear....

Wear whatever you feel cutest in. Confidence is hot. I'm sure you are keenly aware of that though.

I don't go to clubs so instead just run errends all dolled up  . Investing in a pair of really Nice jeans that give you a cute butt is good.

Oh yeah...just remember to smell good. Smell real good. :qt:
