i need a job pronto

yea but im gonna take the summer off unless i get picked up for one of the good college summer leagues
 
I need someone to mow the lawn at my office.. The guys that do it now suck ass.. I'll pay you $40 a week
 
i am in a new area where i know no one and i filled out 6 apps on thursday no calls yet and i have no license so im limited in commuting to work
 
dont i need schooling for bartending or some shit my work history is a joke it consists of 4 months at best buy and baseball camps
 
sometimes you gotta take what you can. there are jobs that will hire you on the spot but they arent the best. if you have a weak work history then your gonna end up in a job you dont like but thats how we all started.
 
In addition to the local paper want ads, try Craigslist for jobs. Your best bet with virtually no experience, no license and no skills is going to be Malls, Supermarkets, Convenience stores, drug stores, etc., etc., etc. (basically stocking shelves or register work). PAPER the fucking town with your applications. You should be out filling out applications at least a few hours a day. And like Needto says, network, make sure everyone you know and everyone they know is aware of the fact you're looking for work.
 
yea applying all over would be nice but im in shitty lombard illinois right off the highway, so far ive applied to everything around me, im just gonna go walk in and ask for the managers and ask if theyve read my app

always follow up in person. ive done that and each time i got the job. its hard for them to say no face to face... sometimes tey dont even get your app cause some moron didnt even bother to give it to them.

None of my business but I just have to ask, why don't you live somewhere that's convenient to public transportation if you don't drive?
 
musclemom- i live with my mom over the summer i went to CC in iowa and played baseball and then got recruited to play D1 and i chose IL cuz my mom lives an hour away from the school so thats why i live in a bad spot

chewy- my lease for next year doesnt start until august and i alrdy am in the whole a ton so i figured id save money and live in lombard with my mom, but there is a chance i can live there this summer if my roomates dont change townhouses, then i can work in dekalb and use all the facilities there
