I went to Michael's (arts/crafts/homoerotic action figure store) with my girl, because I had this overwhelming desire to create something. Last night, we were discussing business ideas, and her friend who recently started up a hand-made jewelry thang. This woman has found success of late, her pieces being worn by celebrities like Lindsay Lohan and now being carried by Saks. I don't like her pieces that much, but the idea is interesting because this shit is fairly easy to make and because it provides a means of getting ideas out of my head.

This is the only one I've ever made (super easy and I don't know shit about this yet). I doubt I'll take it anywhere, because it's not just about the pieces, but about hustling to get it seen, talking to the right people, creating an image and brand, etc. That must present somewhat of a challenge.

But who knows. How many people in this world have made a bracelet and deadlifted? I fucking rule.

Looks like a prop from Star Trek. Like when they discover that the visiting Empress' necklace is made from dilithium crystals.

It's very nice. :)
i have a few friends that make money selling beaded jewelry.

they've probably earned $2.50 combined.

My friend in Philly makes jewelry and sells it for big bucks.
It can be lucrative if you market it right
