I love working from home!

No way. My computer is better than the one at work, my monitor is infinitely better, I have better software, etc. Can play my music as loud as I want, no one coming by my desk to disturb me etc. It is great! And I can go on elite without fear of the IT police!

Here Here..

I love it.

Ditto, but you don't get the face time in. Unfortunately, there are some people at my work who love the meetings and don't believe in conference calls.

I call them...bastards.

I call them retards, meetings and such suck up time and waste mine for the most part.

gets old sometimes.....but yeah, it's pretty awesome.....especially the waking up at 9am part.....or later

In a corporate environment it's a career killer.

Yeah who gives a fuck?

I sell to the schmos that worry about their 'corporate image' all day every day.

In a sales organization... the only thing that matters is selling.. there is no corporate BS on this end. I sell, they suck my dick.

Sales is a different game.

Its nice to have the option to work from home - good break from the goofiness at work. Its helped a lot when I have to be at home for a delivery or whatever. And yea, go take a nap at noon, roll out of bed at 9 am, etc. I did remote project mgmt for an outsourcing company and that got damn old. I do prefer going into a work environment. But its nice to have that occasional flexibility.

working from home is cool till the wife says why didnt you do the laundry :(

fuck I was working all day bitch.

laundry? wtf? I was busy on EF

Well, being an Aerospace engineeer I can do more at home than I can at work and in my world it is all about the product. In this case the stress reports that get published to allow a part to be built or the ARB's (air worthiness review board) white papers that I produce to allow a part to be repaired or scrapped.

So for me, working from home is awesome and I don't have the boss interupting me 10 times a day.

some people can do it...others can't.

if you have a wife and kids, forget it for teh most part.

my ADHD ass can not focus at home..even though i could entirely do business pretty much out of the house. i end up cleaning/getting distracted or picking up the lazy habits i have at home. Occasionally i will....if it's a light day and i just have a few things to do. it's a nice option

plus in sales i think you need that buzz/energy going to really get into that rhythm.

Home offices rock. Period. I work 2 days a week from home and I'm way more productive those two days than the 3 I have in meetings, office time, people bull shitting :), etc....

This is way cool!

Isn't it?

I have a home office as well - it works for me.
I'd love to get a retail space with an office one day but the rents out here are insane.

Do you roll out of bed and work or do you keep the same habits as working in a regular office?

With the except to bouts of insomnia (like right now) when I work and look like I rollled out of bed :worried: I try and treat everyday like I'm going to "the office".

I was like that too.

40 hours week I can do at home in 20-25.

I really dislike companys that obsess about meetings - the meetings have meetings and it's usually the people that are "meeting happy" that are the very same ones that don't listen or read their handouts.

That just drives me.

OMG!

Yes, I don't miss that at all.

Even better is when you dont' have a boss.

I was always so focused at the office that nobody bothered me. I worked at my last employer's for over a year before I went out with everyone else on a Friday after work. They were surprised at how laid back and fun I am.
