I lost the cap to my toothpaste

Is the toothpaste still good? Are little bits of germs and bugs going to crawl in there and get all in my mouth and stuff? What should I do? Should I keep it. OMG!!!

howd you lose it? i doubt germs will grow on toothpaste, its main purpose is to clean, although it does not disinfect, just put it in a plastic bag

You know how when you lose the cap to the bottle of Clorox, and it gets all bacteria-infested and nasty? Same thing with the tooth-paste. Just throw it out.

I dropped the cap down the damn drain. It didn't have a little stopper thing on it so it just went right on down. I guess a ziplock bag might do the trick. What if it's too late though? OMG
