I lost my dog today =(

I had a contractor over getting ready for a remodel on my garage. And on their way out the left one of my side gates open. When I get home after work I let both the dogs out and just leave the door open so they can play outside. I few hours went by and I noticed I had not see the small one… Went outside and checked the gates and sure as shit, the motherfucker was open. I got on the horn and called the contractor and he is denying he didn’t shut the gate, he said “It wasn’t me, I know it was shut.” As I’m standing right there looking at the open gate. Then he tries to put blame on someone else… Maybe someone else was back there. I flipped out almost hucked my phone through my living room window.

I just spent the last hour searching all over my neighborhood before it got dark. She’s really tiny and has never been outside without a leash. My other dog is also tripping out because they have never been apart, they are inseparable. I will hang flyers tomorrow in hopes she got picked up. If anyone has other ideas let me know.

Can I beat that contractors fucking ass next time I see him for being a asshole liar?
 
man, that fuckin sucks. i would have raised hell.

the first few hours of a dog being lost are the most important. i think the probability of recovering the dog is significantly less after 24 hours. i'd seriously knock on doors and such if it was my dog.

there's actually services now that you can pay to recoup your dog. they're really aggressive about it and have had good success rates. seen it on the news several times.

hope the little min pin comes back brosky :(

you gotta be careful with toy breeds and such when they get lost.

alot of people steal them because they have value.

thats why recovery is very important as quickly as possible.

hang fliers tomorrow EARLY. knock on doors, call her name as you walk around.

also call the humane society. sometimes people will call and pick them up if they're a lost dog.

i'd also get a friend to help you look to cover more ground.

trust me, if you knock on your neighbors doors and ask i guarantee you at least 1 person will have seen her.

I know a person locally who would love to take care of the contractor for you, for free. IThey know how to dispose of bodies.
 
what are you doing here bro? I'd still be out looking...calling, whistling for her. I'd have knocked on every door in the hood. I can whistle loud like a motherfucker though.

Wow thank you! I am also going to put up a post on craigslist like PM said.

I was out, twice roaming the hood, covered 4 square blocks with my friend. Neighbors had not seen her. Tomorrow at work I will print up a ton of flyers and spend a few hours hanging some shit and putting on windshields.

I will call the human society tomorrow morning then drop by after work.
 
I'm sure you'll find her bro. Maybe she'll come home on her own! Leave lights on and maybe sit outside for a while. If you have a screen door, leave that open so if you're inside you can hear her.

Recruit some help too. Good luck man. I know what you're feeling. I've lost or had dogs get out many times before. Sucks. Stay positive though.

Thanks bro, this sucks and on top of it i'm in the middle of PCT so I'm like a little girl right now. I would skip work if I could but my day is packed with meetings I can't cancel and I already missed a day this week.

I know how cute and tiny she is and if someone saw her roaming they would try to get her. She friendly and will come to almost anyone as long as you don't scare her. I live right off Faunteroy which is a really busy street, I did walk up and down pretty far and didn't see her squished which made me feel better.
 
I used to live off a very busy street. It was 4 lanes and had a 40 mph speed limit, but people usaully went 60. One time my little girl dog got out (miniature schnauzer). I went out to that damn road calling her and whistling.

I see her running back to me down the middle of the road!!! Right on the double yellow lines!!! God damn I was scared to death. No way would anyone see that little gray dog on that gray road. I ran towards her down the middle of the road, waving my arms at the car coming behind her (fortunately there was only that one car at the time). She was about 50 yards away from me at that point. The car saw me and slowed down. Fortunately they saw her at that point too.

Scared the hell outta me.

Yeah and the back gate... I picked her up in Oklahoma and flew her back to Seattle, this was her before we got on the plane.

I figure she got out around 5pm, this guy posted the ad at 6:30... She was gone awhile before she got picked up. Now maybe I can sleep.

Damn that sucks bro I pray you find you dog!!! I had the same thing happen to me after my divorce while I was offshore and I put out a reward for him and someboy returned him. I gave him back to my ex after that!

OMG my heart goes out to you! I had a small dog before (chi-pom) and my worst fear at the time was that he would somehow get out and not come back. What a horribly scary feeling!!!!

I hope you find the little pup.

they told me to come back in july if i wanted. i crashed my car and then i had a backup car (piece of shit) that died on me a month later. i was late a bunch of times during that time because of the crappy public transportation system here and they suspended me. i was actually the top producer in the company so it was pretty stupid but they said if they didnt enforce the attendance policy then no one else would take it seriously.

i fucked up though. there was a couple of times before my car died that i called out when i was hungover as fuck(i didnt tell them that)..even then i still always had good numbers.

that's why i wasn't sure. it was either a.) go back to my old job or b.) go to school.

i was doing well at this company and i loved my co workers and the location but i wasnt always enjoying my job

i was gonna work independently and bring in my own business...but i dont have the motivation to grind it out like that. i did that for awhile and it takes alot of effort and dedication as well as the fact i had to work out of home.

at least at my job they provided the business and all the resources. i just had to close it

Damn that sucks!! I can kind of understand their side though because others will feel you get special treatment or whatever. I can tell you I used to bust my ass, but when I realized others weren't putting in half that I was and still getting treated the same so I said fuck it. Why bust my ass when others are slacking, etc and they still have their job. I still do a good job, but I don't kill and stress myself out.

I am sure your company did screw up doing that to you since you were so good though. You know companies they don't care about the excuses etc they just want you there on time doing their job. It sucks, but most just are not understanding at all.

well, in the mortgage industry it's all about production. so that's why its bullshit. regular 9-5 job? cool, makes sense.
but not in a mostly commisioned business. they did pay a small salary/draw which is very unlike most shops. that's the only reason they were even allowed by law to do it. in fact, i worked MORE than anybody in that office. i stayed till 8-9pm at night. everyone would leave at 5-6pm

i was suppsoed to pick my car this week.but i have a fuckin dilemna with that too. i have to drive 45-50 minutes away to go to my bank where i have to get the funds to pay for the repairs. theres no locations close to me and i have no way to transfer the funds. the cost is way too much to run it through my debit card and they wont take a personal check because of the amount

then i have to drive way down south to miami to pick up the car. im gonna rent a car today to get it done. none of my friends can help me out with this because of their work schedules.

what a fuckin pain in the ass. my car better be in fuckin PRISTINE condition after all this bullshit

the other vehicle was barely damaged. it was peanuts, fortunately.

it's why i'm gonna be pissed if they didn't do a good job. me spending all this money and for them to fuck it up would be a nightmare. i'm really ready for the worst case scenario. this body shop has been a NIGHTMARE to deal with

Oh that is good!! It could be MUCH worst. You may be paying a lot for your car, but be lucky no vehicles were totaled or whatever that would have been really bad.

She was 4 blocks north and when they found her she was in the middle of an intersection dodging cars. The people where really nice, they had a big fat pug to play with which is nice cause her brother Rocco is also fat lol.

I gave the couple $200.00 for a reward, they refused and I told them to atleast give it to their daughters since they caught her, they agreed. I'm just happy to have my little dog back.

They had a bunch of calls last night from people who also wanted her if I didn't come get her. Someone offered 500 bux for her lol. Her nickname over there was Flash & Daisey. The second she saw me she went nuts lol, felt good to know there are still good people in this world. :)
