but, $10,247.66 for a 2 hour out-patient surgery?

I just received the statement from the hospital for what they are billing workers comp for my shoulder surgery. WOW!!!

Now don't get me wrong I'm glad they fixed my shoulder, but $10,247.66!!!!!!!!:eek2: :eek2:

Plus I wonder if they are going to charge for the 5 minutes the physical therapist spent with me, seeing as how he showed me the wrong exercises to do.:rolleyes:
 
We had the same procedure, but I haven't seen my bill yet. It'll be interesting to see if there is much of a difference?

This is because it is a worker's comp claim. They can charge whatever they want. For the same procedure on someone without insurance the cost would be a lot less. The AR departments of hospitals aren't stupid you know.
