Yeah but I'm not cruisin the mountains in a fucking xterra. If I'm gonna do offroading I'll buy a Tacoma or something.
i was thinking more along the lines of going skiing
fuck driving on mtn roads in the winter with a two wheel drive car

why would you buy anything 4*4?
seems like a waste with no snow
agree! good tires and front wheel drive serves me well around here.

So then you're admitting that the xterra is basically a yuppie suv since it doesn't seem to have any value as a real suv. A road vehicle, basically.

Incorrect. I purchased it solely b/c I needed something that could handle the snow in the Northeast. It fit my budget, I liked how it rode, I stuck with Nissan and I got a good deal on it.

Thus, suck eet

nah broly, it's fun pulling the continental divide right before they close it in a storm with a 2wd truck not having any weight in the back.

Those big ass f350's are pretty fun and nice inside. When I test drove the Saleen my friend drove one of the trucks. Those huge redneck ones all pimped out are pretty cool. I'd never get one though.

the only reason why anyone should own a truck larger than a f150 is if they are towing a boat or rv.
f350's with a lift and meats look menacing though

for you i could see a 4*4 having more functionality...kinda close to mtns and such.
but rnch, in louisana, seems pointless
my 4 wheel drive has been on high since early december and will remain so untill march if i stay in mi

What gas milage you get?

I have been under 9 miles a gallon lately. lol

Don't they have paved roads on the way to skiing??

I don't ski.

diesel is a lot more fun to drive up the mtn passes than a gasser... too bad it took getting a 2500 to get that.

Yeah, but when it storms they usually want you to either have chains or awd if you drive in the canyons.

I would love to get a nice truck. But I like speed more than torque ;-)
And I don't have a beemer anymore.

Yes! And leave it on 24/7/365. I mean, what's the point of doing something unless everybody else knows at all times?

I couldn't agree more. Maybe get two racks? One for the roof of your car to carry the skis, one on the back to carry your mountain bike. Then spam your rear windo with numerous triathlon and extreme sport stickers. Of course, you'll also have to buy either Smiths or Oakleys too.

or Arnettes.

Seriously though, lotsa city folk weekend warriors here go to work with their skis or board on the rack and head up right after work for the weekend.

People who have shitty bikes locked to their racks for months at a time without moving...teh posers

probably need to wear a down jacket vest and long underwear shirt also, complete the look with some tevas or hardcore waterproof boots.

Oh yeah, fuck you all... I have most of that stuff, I just drive a big 4x4 diesel truck

Oh yeah, we have them here too. I live right at the base of big cottonwood canyon, where brighton and soliture are. There's biking, hiking, climbing, and snowshoeing if you don't ski, so there's plenty of people that actually use their racks and tear it up. I'm thinking more about the cayenne turbo bluetooth douche that has all the shit and has at most, taken his $5K bike for a ride around the block.

Yeah.

The guy I bought mine put some 24's on. He also put a chip in. But, has it set to performance instead of gas milage. And, I don't want to fuck it up by changing it.

Also, it is the worst vehicle in the snow I ever drove. Even though it is 4x4.lol

Looks like their 300z.
It looks fast

It will be fast alright! I think the price tag on it though is crazy. It will be a sweet car, but I would have a real hard time paying around 70K plus for a Nissan. I would rather by a Mercedes or something for that price tag. It will be quick and mean looking, but I am sure the inside won't be all that great.

for MUCH less bucks and much better resale and reliability i would check out the 2008 honda accord coupe. the last time honda had a car with these specs on it the name was a prelude.
