I just got the weakest ticket.

I got pulled over and the cop gave me a ticket for having plastic seethrough covers for my license plates. It's used for protection and that's it. He said he couldnt see the number but I think he may have been blind or something.
Anyway, If I knew they were illegal I would take them off but no one has told me and that thing came with my car when I first bought it in the dealership.

Is there a way I can get this one off without a lawyer? I mean the covers are perfectly see-through. Not tinted nothing.

The law is meant to help the photo radar setups. At night the flash will be reflected by the clear plastic cover and then they can't read the plate. I am sure he could see it.

I would just pay the ticket. You could go to court and hope he doesn't show up.

most people have illegal plates, if you have one of those wrap around plastic things that say like what college you went to or a sports team (know what im talking about?) and it blocks any part of your plate that needs to be seen, like your b-day sticker, they can pull you over, thing is most cops dont enforce it, only the peter puffers do

i heard they got some stuff u can spray on your plate that will reflect the photo too, and its not noticable to the eye, dont have those photo things in my city or id try it out

That's pretty fucked up that he gave you a ticket for it being covered up. Some cops are just out to meet a quota.

I didnt put it there, it was on there when I got it so I never paid attention to it. I have an suv which could be used for offroading so I guess those things served as a protection.

I did take them off now but that doesn't help the $101 ticket I got
