Congrats on your purchase.....Looks like you got the place at the right time. Give it a year or two and the secret will be out and everyone will want to buy there.... Gentifrication is happening in alot of major cities and those who get in before the boom make out like a bandit.

Had a coworker buy a flat for $67k in Wash DC(logan circle) 3 yrs ago. Now you can't get a place around there for less than $250k. This was known for hookers/johns, drug use. Now Fresh Fields is down the street and its ridiculously getting better and better.

Nope but there's a couplf of places that are in the Zagat guide and there's Benzes and Beamers parked outside all night long. And there's everything from Ethiopian to Japanese to Italian.

Yeah, I'm sure a lot of sketchy characters are there too but I've been to some of 'em before and it's mostly the brave yuppy crowd who aren't afraid to cross the tracks to the "wrong" side of town. I'm sure my mom (who doesn't even live here) wouldn't dream of going there though...
