I hate traffic cops!

I was going through an intersection and all of the sudden traffic jammed up and I got stuck in the middle- the light was still green when I was going through but then the traffic just stopped. So, this cop walks over to my window and taps on it- tells me to pull over and the fucker gives me a ticket for blocking the intersection, having dark tint and no front plate. On top of that I have to go to court and prove I have current insurance because my insurance company has not sent me the current card. I really wanted to ask the dickhead cop if he felt "powerfull". Asshead. Merry X-mas to you to! This is the second ticket I have got for my limo tint. I will just pay it again. I am not taking it off. It is such BS when cops set up their little quota stops.

Of course, they are making their quota and I happened to be the fish at the time. Why the hell would anyone want to be a traffic cop? Everyone hates them and they get no respect and dont make much either. Not worth getting shot at if you ask me. I can see maybe wanting to be a detective or whatever but traffic cops always have this big attitude like they are "the man"- at least here in So Cal they do. He didn't have to give me a ticket for the tint and the plate. He was justing generating income for the cops.

Believe me I hear you. I'm originally from NH. The only state in the Union without mandatory seatbelt laws. After being in Texas for 2 weeks, I was fined $400 dollars for not having my passenger or me wear a seatbelt.

Actually, you are wrong. In my city, police certainly do have a quota. I have several friends who are cops and the chief of police is also a family friend. All have said they have a quota to meet each month.

Then you have been bullshitted. Because there is no quota required in any of the bylaws. The fastest way to make sergent and move upwards is to bust your hump and bring in a lot of fines and violations.

Some supervisors may impose quota amounts on lazy, non productive officers, but there is nothing that says these guys have to make it. If not, there is no punishment, but the sergent may move them to desk jobs or traffic direction detail "for excessive time" to lay the smack on them.

A motorist is never supposed to enter an intersection if they cannot clear it.......... even if the light is green when the intersection is approached. I really doubt that "all of a sudden" the traffic stopped, leaving you stranded in the middle of the intersection. most likely you saw the traffic and thought "fuck-it, i can make it through and you ended up stuck.
