I gotta get tested - anyone done it?

I have finally come to the realization that I need to get tested. Not for diseases, but hormone levels. I have zero sex drive at all and it has been that way for nearly a year now - or maybe over a year... I don't even know.

For some reason getting tested for diseases doesn't bother me at all, nor would getting tested for cancer or really anything else.

But I am having a very hard time getting myself to get my hormone levels tested - I don't know if I see it as some sort of personal failure, or if it is making me less of a man or something - but I'm nervous as hell.

I also don't want the doc to say "for a guy your age, this is way low - what the hell have you been up to?" and then have to explain drugs and shit - then have to deal with some issues with that - whatever those may be.

I think what worries me most is that I don't want to get tested and then find out that my levels are totally normal or even high - then what the fuck is my lack of sex drive from?

Anyone here gone through this? Any tips? Or any mocking jabs?

that's a good point - do they have a gay test? I should take that too.

It probably involves them placing 100 swatches of fabric in front of you and you have to color coordinate them.

I had them checked....everything came back good. Was pinpointed as stress.....my drive came back, but it seems to come and go in waves. i don't care for it one bit.

Maybe he'll put you on HRT.

What levels would have to be low to get anavar?

For hormone replacement therapy, they only give you like 100mg of test... I don't recall the interval but it was something like every 3 weeks or something to make it really nothing like doing it on your own.

I'm not sure of the legality here, but I would really hate for this to get me back into anything.

Well, my doc is a she for starters. I always feel a bit odd when they feel my nuts. Especially since I shave them.

But yeah, I could obviously be wrong, but I really don't think it is stress. I live in a place that is warm all of the time and I have an easy life. I don't feel particularly stressed about anything.

It seems that is the default answer that one gets instead of "I don't know" it is now "stress" and a nod of the head.

I doubt var will get prescribed to anyone except aids and cancer patients. Take your pants cancer in and have it checked.

As for HRT - I would rather not get into all of that - the further I am from the drugs the better - I don't like the sides I get (namely my face gets fat).
Now that I have lost a ton of weight and see what I look like now I see how much different I looked before and I prefer myself this way.
I miss the upper body mass that I had (which wasn't even all that much), but I will gladly trade that off for my face back - which I have now.

As for the rich thing, it is getting there I guess. I will know more later this month.
