I found a cell phone and was wondering if there is a way I can get it turned on? I assume it needs to be re-programed or something.

unless you know someone who can program it as a clone then dont try to goto a store to get it activated,it was probably reported stolen and you will end up in shit for possesion of stolen goods

I found a cell phone at work. No one came to claim it for about a month and it was deactivated. I took it to the nearby cell phone provider and got it hooked up no problem. Most people don't call the police and tell them that their CELL PHONE got stolen, LOL :D...

I wouldn't even mess with it. I found a cellphone one time put it under the seat of my truck and forgot about it. Well 3 years later my truck got searched and they found it and tried to tell me I stole it. I explained the situation and they let me off. Don't mess with it lots of placed will give you a free phone just for having it activated thruogh them

i didnt mean the police i meant by telling the phone company it was stolen and when someone try's to reactivate that serial number the company calls the police

yeah be careful

apparently over in yank land, the phones are comletely integrated or something, so you have no SIMM chip on a lot of you phones.

if your phone had a SIMM card theres a possibility you either had a offline phone (works with any SIMM chip) or you can get it hacked by someone with a cable and the software

BUT

each phone has a unique code. over here the phone networks are sooo damn lazy they have the ability to lock out a phone dialing up their network with that code, ut they dont

if they dont there u might get away with it

i wouldnt bother personally

Try this one.. Find out who owns it and return it.

Call the manufacturer tell them the serial # and go from there.
