for the first time in about 8 years. I've been doing all my presses on a crap ass Universal and Hammer Strength machines. After 5 sets I was so pumped I could hardly move my arms but I still managed to get thru the entire workout. I'm not gonna say my weights cuz they're still puny but I should be knocking on the door of 405 by Xmas next year.
DT thats excellent!
i'm glad you switched, you'll get so much more out of it.
and don't even worry about what your numbers are now- you know they'll go up like mad in the next few weeks.
Very cool. I did flat bench for the first time in maybe 6 months last workout(I do incline BB and DB, one per workout) and my numbers went WAY DOWN. Not sure of the cause of this...anyone know?

? I thought it was from just getting used to the movement again..I hit 240 for 5 on incline BB last workout and was working with 185 on the flat BB for sets of 10 or so....

yeah, you gotta retrain your CNS. 185 for 10's that should put you up near 215 for 5, maybe 225. It could be your chest a bit because the ROM is different, but I'd say you just have to take a week or 2 and you'll be on par with your inclines.
lol.. you sore?
get some powdered glutamine and take a tablespoon in the morning and another at night in a glass of juice the days you workout- it'll help eliminate soreness.
dial tone.... who is that thick goddess in your av?
what i have noticed about inclines vs bench is that they help each other out, but if you dont do one- the strength starts to drop. if you keep doing the other, it makes catching up much easier. i prefer to do both, for now.
