no way, I do not like berets...I think the best looking is the field cap!
I wish that I had a pic of me rocking the Ranger Challenge Team black beret in college. I was cooler than JH1 AND Gambino combined rocking their visors.

My BCT photo...

well java, i can't tease you too much....i don't resemble the innocent, clean cut southern babtist mennonite choir boy face shown in my high school graduation pic either.

i suspect we both look better (from the chin down) that we did in high school.

Didn't know you were mennonite borly, they're good peeps. :)
dad's side of the family was hard shell mennonite from south-western oklahoma, mom just "went with the flow" as housewives in the 50's and 60's tended to do.....dad was the "black sheep" of the family that left home and moved to "sin city" (AKA new orleans). the hard shell southern babtist way of life quickly wore thin when i "discovered" rock 'n roll, drag racing and sex around age 16..... :p  :artist:

I don't know why people feel obligated to put forth a veneer of respectability. :)

I remember one particularly hot afternoon in the AF while stationed in Biloxi, MS and the soft serve ice cream machine broke.

Yep ... tough times.
