I enjoy wine...

I enjoy wine also. 3 glasses is a pretty good buzz. Mellower and more relaxing than beer or hard liquor.

Cabs, Tempranillo, Bordeaux, reds from Napa, Chile, Spain, France, all good stuff.

I've been fortunate enought to drink a lot of good wine and have put down several hundred dollars during a dinner, but a 12 dollar bottle can be just as enjoyable.

Had some French Bordeaux and some Spanish Tempranillo with my Tenderloin Christmas dinner. Good stuff. Let my 18 and my 20 year old have a glass as well. Its good with food and teaches them to enjoy it for its flavor, not for the buzz.

We took them to see friends in France when they were about 12 and 10 and our hosts naturally served them a quarter glass of wine with dinner. It is part of the culture. I'm not saying its good or bad, since there are a lot of alchoholics there, but I saw no harm at the time.

The french Burgundy's are predomenantly pinot noir and delicious. The california pinots are nice, but the French Burgundys have a different character.

Malbec seems a bit too smooth and uninteresting from the one's I have tried.

a cab/syraz mix is about as good as flavor gets. my step dad drinks chablis on the rocks and it makes me want to put a hit out on his ass.
