For the past few weeks I've been eating cleanly, and for the past two days I've been sticking to a strict diet, which amounts to around 2k cals/day. I just don't see how yall can eat 3000+ cals per day...
This is what I'm eating...
7am-2 baggies of plain oatmeal mixed with 16oz fat free skim milk, and one scoop of protein.
48p-66c-6f
10am-turkey sandwich consisting of 2 slices whole grain wheat bread, 1tbsp mayo, lettuce, tomato, 6oz turkey; 1 cup green beans; 1/2 cup cottage cheese.
56p-38c-9f
1pm-1 cup brown rice; 3/4 can of canned chicken; 1tbsp flaxseed oil
49p-33c-17f(14f from flaxseed)
4pm-1 cup of fat free plain yogurt; 3oz baby carrots; 1 can of tuna
45p-28c-1f
7pm-scoop of protein mixed with water
22p-2c-2f
10pm-can of tuna
32p-0c-1f
The reason that I have the tuna right before bed (and before I brush my teeth of course) instead of just the shake is for the 10 extra grams of protein, and less carb/fat to be in my system over night, since I wont be eating again for 9 hours. I'm going to start adding in some blueberries to my oatmeal in the mornings, and I also eat a few of these "grape tomato" things during the day. I try to get a bowl of assorted fruit during the day, which I can't really find the nutritional value of. I will also drink 6g of fiber in some water in the evening. I drink about 5-6 liters of water each day, and take my multivitamin after my 1pm meal, since I read/heard you should take it after a fatty meal so it will absorb better? Before bed, I take 1g Esterfied Vitamin C, and every other day (or when I remember) I take 1tsp of B-5 which has done wonders for my skin. Anyways, after adding all this up, it comes to the following...
Protein = 243g about 50%
Carbs = 154g about 33%
Fat = 36g about 17%
For a calorie total of 1912, right at or slightly more than 2000 when you account for the fruit. I just don't see how some of you eat twice as much as this. My food costs is about $10 per day, so I can imagine what some of you are paying...
