Though it almost killed me!

I was minding my own business on the ski machine on Friday night.. there was a guy about 8 feet away, doing seated cable rows. Suddenly I hear a CLINK!!!!!! BAM!!!!!! I look over.. I see dude with legs in the air, just as he's tipping off the back of the bench, and.... THUD onto his back, on the ground.

O
M
G!!

:lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

I think I almost burst an eye blood vessel trying so hard not to laugh!!! Especially as 7 heads turned at the noise but for about 3 seconds no one did anything!!

Everyone looked.

The guy just lay there. On his back. Bar still clenched to his abdomen. Feet straight up in the air.

LOLOL!

Then suddenly.. "hey are you okay buddy?" He was alright which is good. But it took every ounce of self control not to laugh.. and I still had 20 minutes to go on the damn ski machine. Poor guy, I'd have probably cried & gone home. lol.

i would have laughed at you on the ski machine so damn hard, arms flailing away like a.... oops... sorry... I mean at that poor bastard...

Note to self: Stay off the cable row machine.

Not nearly as good as the old Treadmill dropping of the music device,
and they stoop down to pick it up out of instinct and go flying off the back..

Even better with a short 2 ft wall right behind the machine to jam them up.

lol! That would be the best ever!

i would have fallen off the ski machine laughing, but helped the poor guy up ;)

one of my mates was in a 'hardcore' gym that had really old equipment, and the guys there thought they were heroes because everything looked ready to fall apart, but theyd still me in there hoisting the rusty weights

aaaaaaaaaaaaanyway one day apparently, the cable on the lat pull down snapped as the guy was pulling down, slamming the bar onto the top of his head with a goodly amount of force :worried:

frankly im surprised teh guy didnt crack his skull

Poor guy....lol

Best one I saw was a dude let go of the bar on the lat pulldown. It took out 4 fluorescent lights and an acoustic ceiling tile on the way up.

Granted the ceiling was low....but all I could do was laugh and ask if he was alright. LOL

:eek2: That would hurt SO BAD!!!

I posted a while back on ownage of some Y fitness host chick

She was messing with the empty line of treadmills in front of us, and she asked
about 3 of us guys who were running, if we thought it would cause any problems if she unplugged a cord. We all said it looked OK and should not effect ours.

I watched her carefully and at the exact instant that she unplugged the power cord I fake stumbled all over the place on my treadmill.

The Look of shock on her face was priceless and the group of us all busted out laughing..

PS:
Of course she was Hot..

yeah, it would. this one time (not at band camp, i didnt go to band camp :( ) i was doing heavyish tricep pushdowns with the little V shaped bar (i hate the V shaped bar because it makes me hunch my shoulders, when proper form (apparently) is to have your shoulders back and boobs pointing across the room) and, while thinking what a nice, patient guy i am for using the V shaped piece of crap while someone else was hogging the straight bar that i wanted, one of my hands slipped off the side of the bar, causing the other end to fly up and smack me in the jaw

i was so angry (with everyone, especially the mofo having the convo while resting his hands on the bloody straight bar i wanted, and the gym manager, for not hovering over me waiting on me hand and foot, and also the hot chick on the treadmill, for not coming over and feeding me grapes while i lounged on the leg press, AND of course the aerobics girls, for not fanning me with ostrich feathers so that sweat would not sully my brow) that i got in my car and went straight home, mid workout

anyway, quit replying seashell, youre keeping me up dammit

Oh there was this little asain chick at my gym shadow boxing with herself in the mirror. Anyways she must have not noticed the swiss ball right in front of her as she went to give a mean kick she sent the ball flying and fell on her ass. I tried to hold back the laughter but I think I let out a tiny snicker.

LLOOOOOLLL!!!! Okay a question: At the moment the bar impacted with your face..how good did you look then? :D

That's hilarious, as is the completely irrational fit of anger and you leaving on a huff. lol. But if it makes you feel any better, I smacked myself in the face with a dumbell doing curls awhile back. That looked uber-cool I'm sure. :D

i saw a guy drop 518 lbs on his neck on his first attempt at a bench comp saturday. he came back on his 3rd attempt and got it. still had a big red mark on his neck tho. someone should have beat that spotter on his head repeatedly with a 10kg plate

i wish i couldve seen that.lol

I would start laughing like crazy. I can't hold in my laughter no matter how hard I try. I even laugh at innaproprate situations, but I can't help it. I remember I was once at the gym, some chick was trying to change the tape on her walkman while running on the treadmill and she fell straight flat on her face. I was right next to her speed walking. She started crying and everyone rushed to help her except me. I started bursting into laughter that everyone though I was crazy. Everyone was looking at me and some other chick was shaking her head while watching me laughing lol. I almost peed myself from laughing so hard. I had to cut my workout short because I could never stop laughing to finish. Oh well, laughter is good for you and helps you live longer, so there is nothing for me to feel ashamed of.

I have seen a couple of quality wipe outs on the treadmill that really tested my ability to hold in laughter. I'm talking like arms flailing, feet tripping, face to belt wipe outs. Not your run of the mill "whoops I just stepped off the treadmill and slipped up" bits. We're talking down for the count.

Did you see dude's balls bouncin around? No? If you did, I bet that would've made you laugh. :)

well, because i was still pushing down the bar and my brain hadnt registered that i had just been slammed on my perfect jawline with a footlong piece of metal, the look on my face was sort of like Ben Stillers "Blue Steel"...but sexier. you know, i was pouting a little bit more, and i had just the right mix of manly effort and relaxed, cool poise

thanks for asking, seashell :)

my angry fit was NOT irrational, it was perfectly justified. those mofo aerobic girls should learn their place and get to fanning me immediately, imo.

and, uh, ive kinda done the dumbbell in the face routine before too :worried: ...so it must be cool ;) ...so dont worry about it :D

Funny that. I creased my forehead and spilled the bar straight away, just day before yesterday doing .... wait for it... Skull Crushers.

Yep. Very, very smoove.
