i built a data warehouse in .net and sql server/xml. purpose is to integrate documentation of about 30 disjoint european plants.

i did it by building a box that consumes xml packets from remote locations. it stores and categorizes in an sql server(s).

i built an application(service, actually) that listens on a tcp/ip port. when it receives requests it responds with pdfs of wanted documentation.

i did it with .net remoting, 2 windows services, an aspx gateway, and....

oh fuck i am really high now... i might stop making sense soon... baeerjek
it has an open channel that responds to tcp/ip requests with pdf's renedered on the fly.
