You really don't have to go all the way around the neck. Just score it w/ a small file. All you need is an etch as little as 1/16". They will pop open w/ hardly any pressure

I remember the good ole days when certain boxes of amps even came with a small file in the box. The RX industry must have stopped doing this to keep costs down?
