and I am not even horny so I don't feel like masturbating.

And I kinda got the muffins even though the red tide hasn't arrived.

Join the club...:)

PS I don't care for the kinds of moral dilemmas most philosophy professors propose; How did I get this God level knowledge of the situation. :)

Make it dark and quiet, close your eyes and don't open them. It may take 45 minutes, but before you realize it, you will be asleep.

I have neurologically induced hypersomnia with a REM disorder, and sleeping is hard for me at night, even though during the day I can't stay awake.

The best thing to do is what I said.

I just learned today there was Harvard lectures on you.

I think that's why I can't sleep can't turn off the noodle.

I'm also OK with anything off of Deicide's "Legion" album.

I have eclectic tastes in music. :)

I've added the Duhks to my Pandora.

As well as Black Rebel Motorcycle Club.

Thanks for the K message Pick, good to see you're back. :)

Bad man...pretty good fan vid...Hell on Wheels

join chat, i'm in there with chrisdom, also try laying in a dark room and count out loud, every time you think of a number think of a color, if you are visual then visualize the colored number, green one, yellow 2, blue 3, etc it's mentally exhausting and you'll fall asleep soon ^_^

no vid qt :worried:

Here's a hot chick vid for the fellas, I'm kinda hot and bothered tonight, I was talking about Croatian men, which i like, then i googled Romanian men and now I'm turned on at work all night .... lovely

I can put myself to sleep within minutes.

Wasn't always like that though. I used to lie awake at night, unable to shut off my brain. I had to figure out how to shut it off. Been doing it so long now it's second nature.

I used to be able to do that, in BCT the guy in the bunk next to me snored like a freight train. In PLDC I hunkered up against a tree in a poncho during a thunderstorm. The more responsibility, the less I can manage it....I really dislike being responsible for other people. :)

I fall asleep easily, too easily, sometimes mid-sentence in bed with hubby, I'm guessing the apnea has to do with that though, hence why I'm always tired.

Did you get one of those oxygen machines work like a dream

I havent because I lost my job and was kinda broke and had to pay it myself since my deductible is $2000 and the machine is $800, I just called the sleep clinic back last week because I'm thinking of buying the machine myself because I saw some from 200-500 online so needed the specs and they ran me my diag again and it freaked me out, apparently the apneas are 45 times per hour (so I wake up/stop breathing like every minute and a half or so) and the longest apnea was 38 seconds! holly shit I stop breath for over half a minute :worried: they told me I need a machine with a heated humidifier and 10cm pressure :( I'm gonna make an appointment with a pulmonologist before I buy the machine though, just want to determine if anything else can be done (orthodontic mouthpiece, uvula surgery, deviated septum corrective surgery etc) that nasal CPAP kinda pisses me off because it treats the symptom and not the condition.

Wow that's crazy I got both mine for free, sent em back because I didn't like the mask they gave me, now I'm gonna get a different one. I can't believe they cost that jeez

About the uvula surgery I would stay away from it. When I was at the clinic getting my machine you have to take this small class to talk about it and there was a guy in it with me who had it done. He said it was the worst mistake ever, he couldn't clear his throat anymore, cough up phlegm, and he said it didn't help the apnea anyways. He was miserable

I look foward to sleep but like many... It takes hours .waking up, eyes and face feeling puffy. Hot water honey and lemon seems to work at times. Worth trying.

I'm the same way. I can get in bed wide awake and be asleep in minutes. Sometimes I'll be in the middle of a conversation and fall asleep. If its dark I lay down I sleep. Its hard for me to take naps during the day, it causes my attention obsessive anxiety compulsive disorder( lmao) to go crazy.

It's almost a form of meditation. Focus on breathing first, getting your breathing calmed down into a nice rhythm of deep breathing. Occupy your mind with breathing and shutting down your body. Take as long as you need while focusing on each part until you feel it's "powered down" and move on to the next part.

When I first started doing it it would still take me some time to power down and fall asleep. IT becomes easier though. Now all I have to do is lay down and start to breathe deeply and I can be asleep in minutes. Everything else happens on it's own almost instantly. I don't have to think about any of it anymore.

I use guided meditation, youtube even has some decent ones, im probably at a point now I can do it myself but I enjoy the guided ones

I crashed at like 9 last night got up at 3 couldn't get back to bed lovely just need to make it through the day
