i bought a new vehicle.

oh. . .that's cool. . .it looks exactly like something that an smart, funny, witty, sexy, artsy-fartsy, asian-jew, with epic boobage ought to be driving. . .have fun :)

oh and, there's a good reason why hyundai and kia have gobbled up market share over the last 10 or 15 years, and it ain't because they're cheap junk. . .their quality-per-dollar ratio is off the charts and they give you a 100,000 mile warranty to prove how serious they are.

I'm not sure 100k mile warranties are so great.

First, it only covers the drivetrain (internal engine components, transaxle and transmission) not the peripherals, e.g. alternators, starter, etc ...

Secondly, the engine should last 100k miles effortlessly if properly maintained. If you wore an engine out before 100k miles the dealership is going to make you prove that you performed the maintenance schedule in the owner's manual.

I'd be much more interested in the terms of the "bumper to bumper" warranty.

5 years/60k miles
plus road side assistance and a loaner if i need it.

Someone is going to tell me what a piece of shit little box i bought and tell me what i should have gotten instead.

that's why I'm going to get C&C approval of my next car before I purchase it

btw, I didn't see post #90 and was still trying to figure out what you bought

the 5 year/60k bumper to bumper factory warranty narrowed the choices down to Hyundai, Kia, and Mitsu ... the green color narrowed it to Hyundai or Kia ... the 30 mpg left only the Soul

I was about to PM you when I found post #90 :)

they were offering 100k b-2-b just a couple of years ago. . .they stopped doing so after their market share increased. . .it's capitalism, yo!
