i am considering a new bike

got a zx6r now 2001 and want a new toy
(enough the queer jokes about us 600cc riders)

considering buying a 748s from a semi friend (i know him but we dont like each other)

i know there is that the stigma attached to DUC's (only for name brand blah blah etc)

worried about parts and maintence with Ducati's

but the 748 have more torque in the midrange, so its good for the canyons and twisties where i ride

another option is save cash or suck more dick and buy a 2005 R6 (raven color) plus and get some orange rims for it

i know different price ranges and total prefromance is different too (hell big gap in CCs too) reason why i dont want a NEW zx6R (THEY ARE UGLY)

lol my bro got his ducati stolen 3 times in 1 month
 
that sucks :(

so cal and AZ have such a problem with stolen sport bikes these days too :(

i probly will hold off and wait till i get some funds and get a 2005 R6 (i am worried about parts and labor costs if the ducati has some issues :(

add an undertail, new muzzy exhaust, hyper blue lights and orange rims :D
 
tiger....the duc is not going to have any issues...maintenance is a little steep at times....the thing is this...this bike is complete and race bred...you can add some color to it and be done...if this is the pic of the bike, you have to buy it!!!!....you'll never loose with money on it...it speaks for itself...it speaks volumes.
Note...its like a Harley in some respects, if you dont like it, its easily sold...it always has value...no risk IMO...you will never be the same, riding it...
 
I bought a 600 and was ready for a bigger bike 2 months later. There just isn't enough power for a grown man. just my .02

+1. Couldn't have said it better myself.

I LOVE Duc's.. although not ready for one. Picking up my first bike within next few months, most likely gixxer, but don't have my heart set on it.
 
my next bike will definitely be either aprilia or duc but there is this MV Augusta looking real sexy :heart:
 
my 900r got stolen off the side of the hyway ,last i had. I miss it too,Id go r1 rode one last year was fast and rode nice id go with pbr he seems to know his shit.
 
im looking at a Busa red/black, Right now i have GSXR 750 (great Track bike)
The GSXR 1000 is Very nice!
The MV Augusta Is really nice, my buddy has one and it is Nice~!

Whatever you do, wait for the 06's.

Redesigned R6( Not confirmed, but very likely)

Redsigned Gix 600-750(Undertail exhaust)

Honda might have something new too.....

If the new 750 looks good, I might buy one next year.
