I am coming back from 2 broken legs and need some HELP!

Hi everyone, I am new here and this is a heck of a first post but here is my story. About 2 years ago, I was in a bad car accident and busted up both my legs and knees and had some back issues that now seem to be mostly in the past, my knees still give me issues. The good part is that I am back to about 80% pre accident condition. The bad news is that I went from a fit 5’9” 175 soccer player, to the pics you see now. I am at 220 lbs of pure fat (down from 235) and I have decided to change that even more. I don’t know what my body fat was before the accident, I had a “4 square” but not quite a 6 pack if that helps. I have used 2 digital body fat readers and calipers to get my current BF%. The digital scales told me 32% and 24% and the calipers told me 26%. I have a feeling the higher one is right, any of you guys think otherwise?. But, before I change things, I need a game plan. To give you a better idea of my situation, here are a few stats. My first goal here is fat loss and to get back to "normal". I am still decently strong in my upper body, my legs are coming along. I can now box squat 225 again on a good day and that’s rising. My therapist has got me doing these 4 compound exercises (Olympic style) such as push press, power shrugs, deads and box squats to get my entire body back to as before. My cardio took a really big hit due to the lack of the ability to run or pedal for over a year and I still walk most of the time for cardio. I have my 1 mile run time down to 10 minutes again and am aiming for a 7 minute mile (not bad for my short little once mangled legs) Well add that whole drama to a new baby in the house and work and life, my eating habits suck , I am getting older, and my activity level was near zero and this is the end result. This end result is unacceptable.

My time with the physical therapist is coming to an end, and it looks as though soccer is not going to be my main activity anytime soon (if at all), so I can’t just “play off the calories”. I am obviously in need of some help, some serious BIGTIME help here. I lift weights 3 times a week now, 1 heavy day and 2 light days and my cardio consists of a 5-10 minute warmup on the treadmill where I walk, and then 30-45 minutes of cardio (walk) after I am done lifting weights as well as 2 other days a week.

While I feel really good about my strength gains, my fat loss is FAR from where I want it to be. I have made some changes to my eating to clean it up alot, but for some reason the fat isn't leaving, it's just frigin there. I don’t plan to have a 6 pack or a 4 square, but I do wish to at least not look like a fat slob anymore. I have heard that lipo 6 is a pretty good fat burner so I may try some of that to help the process, anyone have any other suggestions? If any of you vets or mods are able to help me here or guide me in the right direction, that would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks for taking the time to read this novel of a post and for any helpful replies you are able to offer.

lol........bro go easy on him. he needs some serious help.

Alrite bro, I'm just gonna put in a few of my opinions that I think would help just off the top of my head, and let some other good bros that have been here a while help you out for the majority of it.

First, I dont think you are over 30% BF, prob around 25 to 29, just a rough guess. Also, I dont know if you came here to this forum for help with dieting and working out in general, or for help related to using AAS (steroids). So first off, dont even think about running a cycle until you A. Get your diet in complete check, and B. Get your bodyfat down to at least 16% naturally through diet and cardio. Also, you say you have "made some changes" to your diet. Well, obviously you are going to have to make a complete 180 degree change to your diet, so to help you with diet you can check out the diet and nutrition boards and they can help you get your diet planned out to fit your goals. Anyways, thats all I got right now, more bros will chime in for some extra help im sure. Stay here and read and research, and you will learn so much everyday its unreal. Gluck with everything just stay motivated and determined. You gotta have discipline, determination, and self-control to make the kind of change you want , so stay strong bro.
